Ron Paul Delegate: 'The Republicans Are Nazis'

Writes a person from Texas: "I was a delegate to the Texas Republican Convention this year. If any delegate was known to be sympathetic to Dr. Paul, they were not allowed to speak to the convention. If they approached a microphone, the microphone would be turned off. If a delegate began to speak and attempted to mention Ron's name, the mic would be cutoff. Anyone sympathetic to the Paul delegates or even those for fair and open discussion were threatened with arrest. Houston police were everywhere and all they needed was a nod from the powerbrokers to haul someone off without offense.

"The Republicans are Nazis. I will never again vote, participate with or support them in any way. Knowing what I know now...even as an evangelical Christian, I would vote Democrat before I would ever again consider a fascist Republican. Dr. Paul is in a party that absolutely despises him and all that he stands for. Take a look at this link(1) to see what they are doing to the Paul delegates that made it to Minnesota.

"The thought that I was a delegate to their convention makes me want to go bathe. I pray that they will be utterly defeated in November. They don't deserve to be dog catchers."

You asked me when did Glenn ever slap you down by asking what are you still doing here. You claimed you must have missed it. You asked for a link.

The post was:

LWM

And I just can no longer stand the comments section at Salon.

Didn't you recently announce -- just a few weeks ago or so - that you were leaving and never commenting again?

Just trying to honor a request.

Osama is a big, scary dude, but is he ... -- AnnieW

Is he even alive at this point? There have been no videos of him in years that do not appear to be government fakes that just happen (coincidence, of course) to help the Republicans.

Is he guilty of planning the 9-11 attacks? He claimed that he did not do it, even as he applauded whoever did do it.

When the USA decided to invade Afghanistan to get Osama, the Taliban had been asking for a little proof so that they would have political cover when handing over a national hero. Why did we refuse to give any proof?

Why have we not tried him in absentia? OK, it might not be the best way to try a fellow but it would certainly show the mountains of evidence the feds claim they have on the man.

Why ask why?

I'm just saying that even if EVERYTHING that is alleged is true, ...

... that I'm still NOT okay with raping and torturing women, men and children to "get" information. -- AnnieW

I am not OK with rape, torture, killing, bombing, stealing resources, economic warfare, intimidation, making people disappear into the night, or other mainstays of the USA. In fact, I think that the USA has been the main "root cause" of evil in the would since 1945 at least.

So why this one person and not one of the poor unfortunates in the west bank? An entire people are being brutalized and there is a slow motion genocide in progress paid for by the taxes of the working poor in the USA who can never get a break themselves.

To answer my own question: because there is only so much outrage one human can express and any given time.

I hope President Obama will not use the American killing machine to kill peasants around the globe. I really do. (or pheasants either for that matter)

"Illegitimus asshatimus et pantywaistum non carborundum!" -- Associative Individualist

The whole damn post was priceless. I laughed till I cried over here. Damn!

The thing that lwm lied about is that he knows Dr. Paul has said over and over on the "pork" issue that he votes against spending the money in the first place; but if it is to be spent then his voters deserve their share.

I agree with that. I do not think my city should spend money on trash pickup two days a week; but if everyone else gets it then I want what my taxed paid for.

But then, I would expect raw hatred does make it hard for him to see clearly.

As the UN defines genocide ...

"... its a deliberate attempt to exterminate a people, and that's just not the case. That doesn't make it any less egregious. "

We will just have to disagree on this one.

I define genocide as the destruction of a people in a given area. Even under the UN definition, it is coming. The "Palestinian" as a people will not exit in 30 years.

The exact timing of the major killing is unknown to me (obviously!), but the Israelis will kill them.

A humorous aside (dark humor) is that the "old testament" or "Hebrew testament" is myth and the "Jewish State" has no more reason to exist than Mormons would have if they decided to annex great areas of the south west as a "Mormon State" where non-belief in their religion was punishable by death.

(or it the Morons ...)

A.I.

I saw your two posts at the very end of the last thread. Most impressive! I thought both were a hoot. And to say they were a "hoot" is high praise from one of us hillbillies.

Glad you took the time to write.
