If you are just joining us, the story is this. After 10 years of data being withheld that would allow true scientific replication, and after dozens of requests for that data, Steve McIntyre of Climate Audit finally was given access to the data from Yamal Peninsula, Russia. He discovered that only 12 trees had been used out of a much larger dataset of tree ring data. When the larger data set was plotted, there is no “hockey stick” of temperature, in fact it goes in the opposite direction. Get your primer here ...

... Now there’s independent confirmation from a study presented at the American Geophysical Union Conference in 2008 that there is no “hockey stick of warming” at Yamal.
The presentation is "Cumulative effects of rapid climate and land-use changes on the
Yamal Peninsula, Russia" by D.A. Walker, M.O. Leibman, B.C. Forbes, H.E. Epstein. (click link for PDF)

Notice that in comments others check with the station records around Yamal peninsula and see that they also agree with the AGU and McIntyre's graph and debunk the fraudulent "hockey stick" scare graph.
This is all documented. I go further. I claim that the fraud discovered here is typical of so-called climate scientists. If you want an objective analysis --- get a geologist.
Save the planet: time to eat dog?
By TANYA KATTERNS - The Dominion Post
The eco-pawprint of a pet dog is twice that of a 4.6-litre Land Cruiser driven 10,000 kilometres a year, researchers have found.
Victoria University professors Brenda and Robert Vale, architects who specialise in sustainable living, say pet owners should swap cats and dogs for creatures they can eat, such as chickens or rabbits, in their provocative new book Time to Eat the Dog: The real guide to sustainable living.
The couple have assessed the carbon emissions created by popular pets, taking into account the ingredients of pet food and the land needed to create them.
"If you have a German shepherd or similar-sized dog, for example, its impact every year is exactly the same as driving a large car around," Brenda Vale said.
"A lot of people worry about having SUVs but they don't worry about having Alsatians and what we are saying is, well, maybe you should be because the environmental impact ... is comparable."
In a study published in New Scientist, they calculated a medium dog eats 164 kilograms of meat and 95kg of cereals every year. It takes 43.3 square metres of land to produce 1kg of chicken a year. This means it takes 0.84 hectares to feed Fido.

My cat, Mr. Willie , dressed in his tuxedo and reading the morning news as he eat his morning salmon saw this and exclaimed, "they are fucking crazy on the left!"
I think the cat has a point.
We deny man-made global heating disaster from the chicken little anti-scientists with their government issue computers and computer programs written by biased fools who do not let the world see the code they are using an most often not the raw data either.
Nope. The only real data is the satellite data that says we are in a cooling period. The amount of bullshit you buy simply because you want to destroy the economy of the world and starve billions of poor is unbelievable.
Did you see my bold prediction? Why don't you make one for North America this winter?
Well, they are talking points because they are true. Only an idiot, or one paid to believe the lies of "man made global warming disaster" could believe the opposite.
The Medieval Warm Period as you call it was in the textbooks as the Medieval Climate Optimum up until frauds like the present troll Publicola defrauded science and claimed that all historical records of the era no longer could be trusted!
How do they know it could not have been much warmer in the era 900 - 1200 AD? Why that would disprove the famous hockey stick that Steve McIntyre of Climate Audit fame debunked entirely in "Yamal: A “Divergence” Problem".

And now; the deluded bugger claims that the climatologists do not claim that the decade of the 90s was the hottest ever and we are now cooling! Delusional! Now don't get me wrong; the 90s were not the hottest ever but Al Gore and his gang of civilization killers say it was and so that means the planet has cooled since the magic year of 1998. (and this with the fudged data from the UN group)
What next? Will the bugger claim that one of the chief UN climate scare-mongers did not say that we may be looking at 20 years of cooling before warming resumes?
I did not get to read but about half of this long, long thread but I saw enough to see that Glenn has decided that climate debates are OK. So, over the next little bit when I find some time I'll cover this fraud that is scaring my progressive friends to death.
Are you referring to the government's theory of a conspiracy that included the attack on the US on 9-11? As a lawyer, I don't think I have to give you the definition of "conspiracy" do I?
The question is: does the Bush Administration's conspiracy theory hold water? If it did, then surely they would have tried Osama bin Laden in abstention for the heinous act. That would have satisfied the Afghanistan Taliban who claimed that they need a little proof before they would turn over a national hero. Why were we afraid of the America court system in that matter?
Why do we still resist going to court with the "terrorists" we hold or trying bin Laden to this day? What is wrong with a trial?
