Original article: Israel's pragmatic thug

@ Chris

I don't think it is fair or justifiable to disparage turds in such a way.

daniel mark

proves once again that the term army "intelligence" is an oxymoron of the grossest rank.

realease???

I neither thin they will be released, and if by perchance, they are, the MSM will devote less coverage than to yesterday's flunky tea parties - obama's a liar and a coward

sloppy mark

neither thin = do not think

This is crap

I'll write another letter or two to holder/obama, and then I'm done. They won't prosecute war criminals, the big ones, cheney, bush, addington, yoo, gonzalez. That makes them, much of the congress complicit. They are now war criminals, too, F them, the last vestiges if my support for these vermin are gone.

Anyone care to refer to grand plans and strategies they are employing to eventually have the truth revealed and the crimes committed in my name dealt with appropriately is simply deluding themselves.

The story, #3 on Yahoo front page is the kind of fluff job which I suspect all of the MSM will follow with forthwith. Democracy, constitution - we don't need no stupid democracy/constitution.

Shameless sycophants.

REFLECTION!!!

Yeah, right - the change some people can believe in - I guess I'll just spend the next couple of days reflecting. reflecting how dems and repugnants alike gutted the constitution. Maybe I'll buy a T-shirt that says, we live in a free society, but torture is cool and accountability is nil.

and i want to thank mr. levy for his courageous post.

"It's very late in the conversation, but I've got a few things I feel I must say. We have laws against physically assaulting people, laws against preventative detention, laws against torture, laws against kidnapping, the Geneva Convntion, the UN Charter, and we have always maintained here in America that all men have a right to trial, to face their accusers in open court, that they are innocent until proven guilty, and that there can be no cruel or unusual punishments. If this is NOT enough for Obama to see that what has happened is illegal, and must be punished, then he is either a fool or a knave. The statement he attatched to these memos is the worst kind of obfuscatory horseshit. He get NO points from me fof telling us point blank in his statment that the reason he's released this is because we already know about it and Bush 'fessed up to it long ago. Oh, and by the way you can expect me to hide EVERYTHING we don't know about already.

Please forgive me if this is not as clear as I would wish. I am genuinely upset and this is not some kind of intellectual exercise or snarky game from my perspective. Obama's may be the ultimate act of brazen "yea we tortured (and killed) people, so what are you going to do about it" screw-you politics we've seen yet.

Reflection?

It is an absolute insult to my understanding of what the Constitution represents, and TOTALLY repulsive that another freakin' complicit democrat should offer such advice in a matter such as this. May this liar get himself sufficiently ensnared to have to stand before the same jury as the repugnantcan'ts.

dozen or so homicides

There are more than 100 documented deaths incurred while in custody, already, and this does not take into account the "drop weapon" policy where soldiers in the field were instructed to carry "insurgent's" weapons with them in case they "accidentally" killed a civilian.

Kill a civilian, plant a weapon, and keep on keepin' on.

Check IVAW.Org where those who participated, 100s of current and former military tell their stories of what they did and saw in a way that none others can. At the end, they offered to repeat the testimony under oath before congress. Needless to say no-one was interested and event elicited a collective YAWN!

Hard Left?

Is that us little guys who buy into the concept of a Constitution as the framework of the country?

Thank you, Glenn, for your tenacious pursuit of the truth - You truly are a national treasure.

"And Israel, the erstwhile champion of democracy and civil liberties in the Middle East"

Was that a typo, or did I actually see such an oxymoronic statement on the previous page?

Perhaps, the writer simply neglected to add "of jews" or "for jews" following the word "liberties."

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

You are the first place I come to everyday for news. I tell my wife that newspapers or really old papers and whatever they tell one (excluding sports cores) should be presumed to be lies.

It is no different here, Okinawa, Japan where I live surrounded by 50,000 military members. dependents, and contractors. The old-papers here are no differnet. They say whatever Tokyo demands they say.

It is, indeed, a sad state of affairs when the only way americans can find out the REAL news is from YOU (and a few precious others like you) or by watching the late night comedy circles.

Edward R. Murrow and Walter Winchell are turning over in their graves.

Thank G-d for You Glenn. Although born of strict Orthodox jewish parents (may They r.i.p), my beliefs now lean much more toward Hindu/Budhist beliefs, and I pray for You every day, for all you do for me, other, and the world.
