Why does Salon

continue to feed ReaderX2's masturbatory fantasies with pictures of Sarah Palin? I say pictures, because those sure as hell were not her words. That woman couldn't write a coherent sentence if baby Trigg's life depended on it.

Oh Reader, did you see where you could buy dinner with your gal on Ebay? For a mere starting bid of $25K you could actually go have dinner with your heroin(e)...with the proceeds going to the troops, of course. After all, they are fighting over there for her right to make stupid stuff up over here.

If its not about racism

Then somebody rationally explain what it IS about. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt on race, but I just popped in here from Newsvine where my eyes were assailed with words like "Mobamba" and "The Great Black Hope" and the oft used N word and screen names like "TexasWHITE" and "no-coons." I saw our President called a socialist, communist, brown shirt, fascist, Nazi, blah, blah. I asked several times how one man could be all of those things at once (its not possible) and for one of them to give me a definition of "Socialism." Waiting for an answer on both counts. Still waiting.

Since in my opinion, Obama has thus far governed more like a moderate than a liberal, somebody give me a rational (non-racist) explanation for all of this rage, hatred and craziness. Its not like I WANT to believe we are a nation of racists and bigots. As someone else has pointed out, there are 2 main differences between Obama and Bush. 1. The "d" behind his name and 2. the color of his skin.

@ jerseygirl7

There is a lot wrong with that picture.

But since medical malpractice constitutes a whopping 2% of healthcare costs in this country, you might want to consider if those astronomical rates are based upon lawyers suing for medmal, or whether its another example of insurance companies' never ending profit orgy?

I work for a small law firm and we hardly ever take a medmal case because they are too expensive and time consuming to litigate.

We have to carry malpractice insurance as well, and it is one of our biggest costs. I don't think it is because so many people are suing their lawyers. I think it is insurance company price-jacking that is to blame.

Healthcare reform opponents

I am beginning to believe that my only consulation will be when all you opponents of healthcare FINALLY figure out that the health insurance industry isn't as flipping grand as you think it is. They ration and they deny coverage for any reason they can come up with because it is all about profits. They also frequently raise premiums on small businesses 33%-45% each time it comes up for review. Someday when something really medically devastating happens to you or yours, and your claim gets denied AND/OR you are dropped completely you will understand. People who think that they are covered and the system is so great are going to be in for one hell of a rude awakening. Unlike some, I will not be laughing about it because unlike some I have this thing called compassion. A gene that seems to be missing from about 30% of this nation's DNA.

@ damnthatxanadu

What a lovely thought.

Perhaps we could print the oh so appropriate quote provided by Wabanatta_3 across Limbaugh's very ample form before he goes? For the first time he would be conveying a worthwhile message.

Fiancial voyeurism is something we can all agree on!

Yep, my friend has a fiance that I have ogled on occasion.

Limbaugh, please don't come home

Go to Alaska, Texas or Hell, just don't come back to Missouri. We already have the lunatic birther/service slashing Blunt family, Kitt Bond, your idiot of a judge brother, the Emerson dynasty, town hall storming tea baggers and the crazy State Rep who thinks that starving poor children by taking away free lunches will teach them discipline....We have suffered enough!

Harold Ford

While I personally thought the Clinton thing was mild race-baiting, what was done to Harold Ford was beyond terrible. The moment I saw that ad, I turned around and told my son, "Those racist bastards just cost a good man and politician this election."

I am geographically located where I get to see (unfortunately) political ads run for Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas and Tennessee. Sadly, racism sells well in these parts. It is the birthplace of Rush (from Oxycontin) Limbaugh after all...

From a Clinton Supporter

I voted for Bill Clinton both times and actually kind of like the man (and Hillary too.) I even stood in line to meet them back in 96. But if you do not think what he said was in any way race-baiting, what do you propose he actually meant when he said that?

I took it to mean, "Big deal, the black dude won in a primary with predominantly black voters, doesn't mean he can win where the white folks vote."

Granted it wasn't up there with the Willie Horton, Trent Lott or Al Sharpton stuff.

p.s. I am not being snarky, really would like to know how it was taken by others.
