Actually he does nitpick Olbermann and Maddow and I know why he does.
The problem is they are the only two on cable news that represent anything close to a liberal viewpoint. I don't think either are in danger of descending into Faux news journalism anytime soon and he has been unfair to Maddow several times.
I like Bob and I understand his concerns, they are mine too. I know it's tired but let us not make perfect the enemy of the good.
Is just doing his audition for Fox, leave Chipper alllooonnneee.
And Glenn is the only one that gives amity props for one of the best satirical deconstructions of a Greenwald article eva.
Nice one amity!
@ sniffyI think your writing on the Obama administration often strays from that of an honest and impartial critic to anti-Obama partisan.

I'm sure Glenn will give your own muddled and inconsistent writing its natural probative value.

Actually I think Glenn has given this guy his 15 and then some.
It sounds as if you are better suited to listening to Limbaugh, Hannity or Savage. You will find mostly independent thinkers here. Some of us (possibly most) might even agree with you that the policies currently undertaken leave much to be desired. But when you come across with such animus for all things that don't fit in your world view it's difficult to give any of your concerns much credence.
I think Governor Sanford is providing a "teaching moment" for miss Bethea.
She now understands how people like the governor operate and can plan accordingly when she is older and not at the mercy of the voters of South Carolina *G*.
I have to sift through on a daily basis. Mr. Nut can't even be bothered to come into the letters and defend his nonsense, typical.
Because you can't remember to return movies on time, making the rest of us have to wait on YOU, we should boycott Blockbuster....good luck with that slacker.
BTW I have a Netflix account and unless you put obscure titles in your queue good luck getting new releases, you'll need it.
the demise of Blockbuster, what do you think will happen with Netflix once they have no competition? I like Netflix but they need competition from someone to keep prices down.
Careful what you wish for.
I wouldn't even be here. This kind of dreck is why I let my subscription lapse. Now not only are we blessed with Paglia's articles (if by articles you mean the clueless ravings of a fruitcake)the new "feature" Ask A Wingnut makes me wonder in what direction Salon is going.
If you were half as bright as you think you are (or a thousandth as bright as Ebert)you would know that Mr. Ebert suffers from throat cancer and has had many operations making it difficult if not impossible to communicate verbally. Of course how would you know, you're way to smart to actually inform yourself, much like your hero O'Lielly.
Isn't Mr. Wingnut just an artifice for the liberal readers to vent there spleen hoping to keep our minds off of purchasing weaponry?
It seems they could have tamped down much of this furor by simply referring to them as fringe extremist elements or some other generic term. Anyone the document is for will know what they mean.
Is back again! Isn't it cathartic to rage at the right? Where else can you do that?
Salon, breaking new ground with it's virtual punching pillow "wingnut".
But do I really have to read that whole article first?
"Nor can one simply dismiss the philosophical "ticking bomb" debate."Tell me, if it takes waterboarding someone over 100 times to elicit information from them, what good would that do if a bomb was going off in say 24 hours?
I've always felt the disparity between the "American Dream" and what most citizens realize as reality by the time they are in their teens (especially people that aren't white) is the reason drugs are so popular in the U.S.
While most of us won't actually participate in that "dream" we can, for a little while, fire up a doob and engage in the pursuit of happiness.
The drug "problem" is a symptom of a much deeper illness.
I read the book Future Shock when I was just out of high school. Nearly everything Toffler said has come, or will come, to pass.
If we live in a world whose motto is "you're only as valuable as the work you do" and there is no work for the unskilled and uneducated what kind of world will we have?
What will happen to the myriad citizens that can't be employed. I've read science fiction where everyone will live a life of leisure with no more poverty. Machines will take on the mundane work and man will be left to cerebral pursuits. How realistic is that? A future where those that serve no apparent use to society anymore are "eliminated" fits the current mindset better than the dream of utopia.
pair than Bill. These statements by current politicians are far past irony, irony cubed maybe, I don't know.
I'm sure China will get right on that when they finish laughing their asses off.
Would have netted him an additional 11 cents per donation. In these trying times every little bit helps.
Michael Jackson is what this show has been trying to capture for so long. Regardless of your feelings about how he lived the truth is he was the last true American Idol, so far.
You bet it does.
Gettin' hammered and posting on Salon, ah yes let the good times roll!
Looks like he's checking out her footwear, some just can't avoid looking for titillation in everything I suppose.
