Original article: The Islamists are coming

I Wonder If Simon

Considered the fact that by invading Iraq and allowing Iran to eventually dominate that country we will have turned it from a secular country into a country ruled by Sharia law.

Who's aiding and abetting Islamism now?

The Majority Barrier

Isn't the problem. Congress just needs to keep sending bush defense bills with Iraq War time lines. Bush then vetoes said bill, congress sends it back while explaining, slowly to the electorate, that they ARE funding the troops, it is the President that refuses to fund them. Simple no? Apparently not.

Love Netflix

Taking movies back and exchanging for another may be great if you haven't seen nearly all the movies they carry in store. There is so much wrong with Blockbuster it would take pages. One very glaring failure is their web design. I can almost run to the nearest Blockbuster in the time it takes to navigate their horrendously sloooow site.

I've used both and I went back to Netflix and won't even consider Blockbuster again.

My Head Hurts

I avoid reading and listening to people on the right for just this reason. This guy talks in circles;

***A great example is the razing of rain forests. It's absolutely true: We do lose rain forests. But it's not surprising that you only see the razed areas -- that's the only place where cameras can go.***

Dude, you've never heard of aerial photography? He goes on about how all money to resolve the worlds problems (Malaria, etc.) will take a backseat to Global Warming funding. Who believes that?

Bjorn needs to move to the U.S. He could make jillions on the wingnut talk circuit.

Call It Like You See It

"the president told me he just didn't remember the meeting. I don't think he was lying to me, per se."

Why do journalists have such a difficult time calling a liar a liar? I have heard more journalists beat around the bush (yes I said it) when King George lies than I can count.

Also Dear Leader has a "pungent personality". C'mon just say it, Bush stinks!

Our Mr. Brooks

Thank you so much Glenn for reading Brooks so I don't have to.

There Must Be Accountability

Damien Morris,

I pray you are mistaken and somehow this fool will be punished for his sins and I don't mean in the next life. We as citizens have a duty to show the world that when we make a horrific mistake we try to make it right. Bush and his accomplices must be tried by the American people and if found guilty punished to the full extent possible.

We owe this much to the people that have lost their lives in this travesty.

Traitorous

"Tying Democrats to traitorous and radical groups like MoveOn, while depicting themselves as the Defenders of the Honor of the U.S. military, is the only tactic they have. And Democrats in Congress just did more to help that tactic than Republicans could possibly have dreamed of."

I'm not sure if you meant Republicans think MoveOn is traitorous or that's your opinion of them. Regardless, this will be taken out of context and thrown up on a wingnut blog before the day is over.

"Even Greenwald believes MoveOn is traitorous!"

Wow!

They read the comments section...who knew? LOL

Watch what you say we don't want Glenn excoriated for something said in comments.

Remember KOS got there Nazi rep from diary commentary not anything KOS said.

I Went Into

the heart of darkness at LGF and after reading the comments didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

To say they are delusional might be an understatement. It seems their favorite term of abuse for Glenn is "sock puppet". Where have I heard that term before...oh yeah, it was the reality based community's way of describing Bush loyalists during the 2004 elections. I've also heard them label liberals as wingnuts, another term coined by progressives to malign the dark side many moons ago.

So not only are they seriously unhinged but they are unoriginal in their disparagement.

Watching Beinart/Goldberg So We Don't Have To

What intestinal fortitude you must have to sit through one of those Beinart/Goldberg snooze fests. I've tried in vain to wade through irritating Goldberg's idiotic expositions and tepid responses by Beinart (any relation to Alan Colmes?).

You have my gratitude and respect for your diligence.

I Would Love

being able to cancel my subscription to Time, sadly I did that ten years ago after getting a years free subscription and using the rag to line the birdcage. Time, a right leaning rag mag, tell me something I don't know.

Dumond vs Horton

Glen says;

So you agree, then, that it was perfectly legitimate for the Bush 41 campaign to make such an issue out of Willie Horton? There's always the risk that a criminal who is pardoned, whose sentence is commuted, or who is paroled or furloughed will commit a crime. Any politician would, I guess, be safest never pardoning anyone (as Mitt Romney did). Is that what you want?

_______________________________________________________________________

What is perfectly legitimate is to take Huckabee to task for a "political" decision to free a rapist after pressure from the Clinton haters club of Arkansas. I don't agree that clemency should never be offered but it should not be offered because you may score political points by doing so. If Dukakis freed Horton with an eye to political position then yes, Bush 41 had a good case to make.

A Serious Pantload

It sounds like Mr. Goldberg wants to be taken seriously, very seriously. Revisionist history! My God stop the presses, no one's ever done that before! That is unless you count every other right wing crank trying to fluff their credentials in the Very Serious Club. The interview was quite well done and not confrontational, allowing Jonah to hang himself with his own delusional wet dream.

Unsurprisingly the cover reminds me of Wal Mart where I suspect it will be found shortly, in the bargain bin.
