Couldn't the same be said about the Democrats base? I've voted for Democrats in the last seven elections, that ends now. After showing no back bone on Iraq accountability and now this disastrous immigration legislation I'm looking elsewhere.
Any independent with a pulse may do.
It really pains me to agree with Limbaugh.
You have dissected Matthews perfectly. He is a one note wonder in that since his epiphany he has loudly campaigned against the war. However, he has done everything conceivably possible to undermine the party and the presidential hopefuls that might lead us out of this disaster.
One only has to look up the definition of "empty suit" to view a graphic of the noggin' we've all come to know as Tweety.
Just this reason and NAFTA. How well has that worked for the toiling classes, not well I can assure you.
If Clinton hasn't got the American worker at the top or very near the top of her agenda she's a waste of ballot space as far as I'm concerned. I'll vote independent again.
Is this tool still pretending to be a "liberal". So much bandwidth has been dedicated to this clown's "article" it's a wonder the internet hasn't crashed. All while the "liberal" Cohen sits and grins.
Folks you have to start calling a spade a spade. Cohen is a right wing shill, period!
That's Cohen.....cheap Gateway keyboard!
I've read most novels/short stories King has written (yes I'm a fan). Hollywood and TeeVee just can't translate King. The Shining is one of my favorite horror stories but even Jack Nicholson couldn't save the film version.
I'll probably pass on 1408.
You too can be an Iraq Occupation Reporter! Here's how!
>First get an e-mail address.
>Send an e-mail to the press officer in charge for the "Glorious War of Liberation"
>Detail how you are willing to prostitute every ideal you hold dear so you can be an official court stenographer.
>Sit back and wait for the "real" news to pour into your in-box.
No muss no fuss, won't even need a plane ticket.
This bull roar continues unchallenged by any one on the left.
If this has been addressed forgive me, I'm pressed for time today.
When an above reproach, supposedly "straight shooter" is required to make this story into something other than a political hit on Wilson, up pops Armitage....how very convenient.
Who do we have to rely on for the veracity of this tale, Bob Novack a premier political hack if ever there was one and of course Armitage who is described as a gossip. Take a look at this guys resume and tell me if he sounds the type to let slip a covert agents name. Bob Woodward? I hear he has a tattoo of dubya4ever on his ass.
All this comes to light well into grand jury testimony? Anyone who is familiar with the deceit of this administration and the beltway scribes that take dictation for them should be very dubious.
Straight to letters, that's where I go upon seeing another Paglia article, much more entertaining, and I don't get the feeling the writers are smirking (you know that special chimp smirk) the whole time they're writing.
Apparently they're are readers of Salon that haven't heard of this union. There in lies the problem, this merger has been talked about for more than a year in some places but is just now making it to "main stream" publications. If it's such a great idea drag it into the light and let's discuss it like the free people we are supposed to be.
I wonder at Salons motives by having someone as vile as Corsi weighing in as an opponent of the North American Union.
There are other, more palatable, antagonists of this unification.
Bush and Cheney must go...now. They can't be trusted. What happens when we are so jaded by the constant cry of Wolf! that we ignore a real warning and thousands of people die unnecessarily because they could no longer believe their leaders.
Bush and Cheney, despicable as they are, will be sure to go on the stump and declare "We told you so".
Republicans do it all the time, jump on any Democrat's perceived weakness that they share. Make a big deal of it, hang it around the Dem's neck, it takes the sting out of the arrows when (if) they are ever pointed at them.
They are rarely pointed at them because you then get the tit for tat argument, "those Democrats are so petty".
They are very shrewd and play the game too well for Democrats most of the time.
The Democrats need to take up the expression of General Nathan Bedford Forrest “Get there firstest with the mostest.”
What adds to the tragedy of that NRO article you cited is that the author is African American. In the historical sense how long has it been since his ancestors were chained in the bowels of a ship destined for a fate of slave labor in America?
Amazing how he nonchalantly endorses rounding up another countries citizens and imprisoning them.
Big win? Not so much.
What I understood Google wanted was to bring competition (other than big telecoms) in the hope of better access (lower prices). But as money and influence rule the day in our government now, this was to be expected.
Another win for big business, another loss for consumers.
Yes, unfortunately, that is what is needed, a liberal version of the velvet hammer (or fist or wtf ever they called that slime ball). I can think of no one more scurrilous than Tom Delay but you have to admit he kept the troops in line. Harry Reid seems like a nice guy and I've heard (never seen it though) he's tough negotiator. But c'mon do you think good 'ol Harry will threaten you with those pictures of the last golf outing where there was more rutting than putting?
Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?
The accountability imposed by another country for the CIA's kidnapping and torture reveals much about our own.
Fox News' morning show plays to type, talking about whether Muslims in the Army should face "special debriefings"
The survivor and author is upset about comparisons some on the right are making to genocide
Once seen as a lunatic fringe, reactionary anti-women groups are courting respectability
