@rufus (Strong Dude: No Blame)

I get it. I'm just saying, can you imagine what Krishna would have said when people asked him who should be president and who shouldn't? He would have given one of those no non-sense answers that decimated the question. He didn't budge. He never once placed the cause of pain and suffering on anything other than the refusal to responsibility for our own true nature. He simply would not have been able to get caught up in questions about political causation, however he would always look so observantly at how the political realm perfectly reflects the egoic nature of self-contraction.

I'm not suggesting you shouldn't follow your "choiceless awareness" where it takes you! What else is there to do?!!!

@virtue (push it further..)

If you want to pull it off you've got to somehow sound angry and upset but still get across your love for me. The way you wrote that piece it actually seems like you don't care about me anymore. Maybe by making the anger more extreme- so that it is even more rediculous- it won't seem so serious.

Those private emails are warming up my nights. And I don't care what you say; you ARE a good poet!

david sugarman (you nailed it)

Yes, I am supporting Obama, big time.

I am straight...about 77%, at least

Tbone (perception vs. they all suck)

listen, I've been trying to find the evidence that Obama has a higher percentage of awful voters than Clinton. Believe me, I have no problem finding numerous examples of his asshole supporters, but this notion that his are of a greater number or worse type...well...it confuses me...

I go on the internet and can find the same amount of unbelievably stupid and inappropriate Hillary supporters. Do you think the perception of Obama having the worst might be due to the grand narrative that he puts people into a trance.

It could be, I guess, just that he has more supporters and is winning, therefore, it seems he generates the worst kind of supporters...

I really am open to the idea that he is unique in this regard, but I don't know how to assess it yet.

What do you think?

virtue (our history)

Ok, you forced me to do it:

I'm going to stroll back to the days you loved me and show that you even spoke words of friendship to me when we were posting like happy bees. But I bet in my research I'll find that your lack of love was caused by something other than the volume of my posts. That's my bet.

But: I know nothing of online etiquette and if I am violating a tacit understanding in these here hills, I'd simply like to be told about it. I mean, I just learned what a troll is! What do I do if other people here say I'm not posting too much? I'll probably trust you because you said it first.

And while it's obvious there are those who don't like me, I get nice people chatting with me as well and they never suggest that I shut up...It's so confusing.

And finally; today this thread was bone dry, so I posted a few shorterthanshort posts (except for the article from tomorrow)...do the rules take into account when a blog is dying and people just start dancing around inside it, or is that a "no no" as well? I'm learning, virtue and I'll win you back, I swear. That is NOT sarcasm.

@doloresflower (thank you)

I think those are great questions. I'd like to see the examples Joan is thinking about as well. While I have no doubt she can find ugly comments here, I want to see the kind of comment that she considers a pattern that represents something distinctly Obama.

I could be blinded by the fact that I want him in the Oval Office. But I don't see it. I just am not seeing that he has a special kind of awful supporter and I don't see any reason to believe that he has the power to be the first candiate that had a major influence on his worst supporters. I can't imagine Hillary being able to influence those people on the net or elsewhere who support her with awful comments.

In my opinion this focus on awful-Obama supporters is a major distraction. I just don't see that he has an odd amount of idiots. Just look around and you can see Clinton has the exact same type.

That said: I agree that it would be great if Barack did all sorts of things to sway any and all voters that presently would rather vote for McCain. Hillary's weaknesses lost her tons of votes and Barack's will certainly hurt him as well. I don't know how much we can expect from these people, but I trust that Obama does at least a good job with the skills he has.

Anyway, I like how you laid out your points.

@doloresflower (the Obama party)

come on, that was great! I'm so glad I read that right before bed.
