Why the mantra of experience again
[Read the article: Edwards endorsing Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Experience has brought this country to the verge of imploding. Experienced pols got us into the war in Iraq. Experience got us shipping jobs overseas - NAFTA. Experience got us a lot of heartache. I really will not be surprised if there is a complete Senate and House overhaul this coming Nov. That will include Democrats as well. People are that fed up with Democrats and Republicans.

There is a whole lot of people who have betrayed the Clintons according to this logic
[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So many former supporters of the Clintons are now supporting Obama, ranging from Marian and Peter Edelman, Robert Reich, Lani Guineer to Joycelene Elder, Bill Richardson, George McGovern, et al. What have they betrayed? Are we now swearing loyalty oaths which the Bush administration demanded of its supporters.
I am afraid this whole poisonous environment of patriotism, betrayal, loyalty, has somehow seeped into the politics of the Democrats as well. This sort of behavior only lays the groundwork for demagogues, and we have many of them infecting our political landscape.
This is a country founded on the principles of questioning authority not blind submission. The primary process does offer the electorate to choose their candidates. I don't believe that endorsements amount to a hill of beans sometimes. But NARAL like MoveOn probably did endorse Obama as a result of their constituents and not as a result of a handful of board members.
None of my colleagues or friends who voted for Clinton are expressing any such sentiment of betrayal or not voting for a Democrat in November. But that is purely anecdotal. I realise that Clinton supporters are disappointed that their candidate is losing. I am wondering how much of this angst can be mitigated by a valiant exit by Hillary Clinton, exhorting her supporters to vote Democrat.

[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It would be like the NAACP endorsing Clinton over Obama, a black man and organizer in the african american community. It just wouldn't happen, but women as their own worst enemy, that always happens.
At the start of the primaries, Hillary Clinton had a groundswell of African American support, which was squandered by some very unfortunate comments by both the Clintons. The NAACP did support Bill Clinton and would have endorsed Hillary Clinton as well if they had not made race such an issue.
There are many many feminists who have publicly endorsed Obama over Clinton for a whole lot of very valid reasons. I would encourage you to google Molly Ivins column on why she would never support Hillary Clinton. No one can doubt Molly Ivins' feminism and what she stood for. This was one of the last columns she wrote before she died of breast cancer. Molly and her dearest friend Anne Richards, governor of Texas, are now toasting to Obama from the beyond. Both, die hard feminists who knew the value of peace in our fractious world.

[Read the article: Clinton supporters push back against NARAL endorsement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh baloney. As soon as Obama won Iowa and the media declared him a viable candidate, black voters shifted their support to him. Bill didn't make any racist comments. That was spin from the Obama campaign that was spread by the media. They knew Bill was an asset for Hillary and wanted him silenced
There is a whole school of thought that suggests Bill Clinton actively sabotaged Hillary's campaign. I think he subconsciously sabotaged her campaign by making some very stupid and careless comments. The very thought that anyone in the Obama campaign could silence the likes of Bill Clinton is absolutely ludicrous.
On another note, why won't the NAACP ever endorse Alan Keyes? He is African American so they should endorse him. Right?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Would you have voted for Margaret Thatcher? Or better still, would you vote for Elizabeth Dole or Condoleeza Rice? Just asking.
Indira Gandhi went down in infamy. So did Benazir Bhutto. Daughters of politicians who did nothing fof the women in their respective countries.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]When Obama is off his leash, he comes across as clueless as Bush, albeit with a little more brains. I'll give him that.
No thanks. Been there, done that.
George Bush is a bumbling idiot with nary a straight sentence in his addled brain. Obama is smart, articulate, has written 2 best selling books without a ghostwriter and you call him clueless? And he was president of the Harvard Law school. Do you think he got elected because of Affirmative Action or because he was qualified?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary should have been more judicious about her kitchen sink strategy. That perhaps will forever tarnish her, just like the mushroom strategy did to Lyndon Johnson. The smart, articulate woman fell prey to her own demons of foul play.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Kate Michelman, who went to work for John Edwards, (who coincidently endorsed Obama today alsoO has a vendetta against Hillary.
So Kate Michelman has it in for Hillary and she really has not been president of NARAL for quite a while now. You give her too much power.
But I am curious to know what "vendetta" Kate Michelman has against Hillary Clinton. We know why Marian Edelman left the Clinton administration but I am curious what happened with Kate Michelman.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]She should have endorsed Obama personally, not made an endorsement on behalf of NARAL, especially without gaining a consensus of the members.
Kate Michelman was President of NARAL from 1985 to 2004. Nancy Keenan is the present President of NARAL and endorsed today after she gained consensus from her board. Michelman endorsed Obama in Feb 2008 on her own, as a private and concerned citizen. Here is why she endorsed Obama:

Misrepresenting the facts really does no service to your candidate.
