[Read the article: "She's not as bad as you think"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Meanwhile, Hillary's plan to create an organization of allied Arab states is far too grand and, more to the point, is psychologically flawed beyond redemption. It is the same old scheme to avoid the obvious while creating the appearance of "doing something."
Remember "Bandar Bush?" Hillary is trying to create "Bandar Clinton" who will be more than glad to fill the already overflowing coffers of the Clinton dynasty for generations to come. This is long term thinking maybe on the part of the Clintons to have Chelsea run for President bankrolled by Bandar Clinton.

When Blue Dog Democrats like Nunn endorse Obama, Hillary should run - away from her campaign
[Read the article: "She's not as bad as you think"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama endorsed Friday by former Sens. Sam Nunn of Georgia and David Boren of Oklahoma and Robert Reich, Clinton's Secretary of Labor.

Obama Supporters - Question Authority
[Read the article: "She's not as bad as you think"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Salon became relevant during the hey day of the Clinton impeachment trials from Bills dalliance with Monica Lewinsky. While the MSM was having field days with the sex scandal, Salon was one of the few e-magazines to repudiate the GOP hypocrisy, as when they outed Henry Hyde and other GOP philanderers who were the prime movers and shakers in getting Clinton out of office. Character was always an issue that the GOP hung their hats on. People like Sydney Blumenthal and Joe Conason dug into the history of the Clintons in Arkansas and provided a counter narrative to how the GOP was continuing Clinton fatigue to overtake the media.
Salon was built on the foundation of that counter narrative, and so the faithfuls like Joe Conason and Joan Walsh find it unimaginable to be even slightly disloyal to their makers.
Loyalty is a very fascist concept, because it prevents us from speaking out and question authority. It prevents us from coming out of our haze of denial about the Clinton lies and hypocrisies. This is not what democracy is all about. Democracy must question all authority and make them accountable for the trust we bestow on them. Free speech and a free press are the cornerstones of all Democracies. It is unfortunate that Salon is speaking more as a mouthpiece for the Clintons than acting as a free press.
High marks must go to people like Robert Reich, Bill Richardson, Marian and Peter Edelman, and most other former Clinton loyalists who have come out against the Clinton tactics and have endorsed Obama. Maybe Salon could shake off the chains of loyalty and do the right thing.

I will not support Hillary Clinton for president - Molly Ivins
[Read the article: Obama, get ready for the "Clinton rules"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]January 20, 2006
AUSTIN, Texas --- I'd like to make it clear to the people who run the Democratic Party that I will not support Hillary Clinton for president.
Enough. Enough triangulation, calculation and equivocation. Enough clever straddling, enough not offending anyone This is not a Dick Morris election. Sen. Clinton is apparently incapable of taking a clear stand on the war in Iraq, and that alone is enough to disqualify her. Her failure to speak out on Terri Schiavo, not to mention that gross pandering on flag-burning, are just contemptible little dodges.

So when Hillary invoked Anne Richards in her Texas debate and Richards' children called on her bluff, here is the proof that Richards would never have supported Hillary's bid for the White House. Molly Ivins and Anne Richards were joined at the hip, two stalwart women from Texas who fought patriarchy and sexism till the day they died.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The SNL skit last Saturday was completely damning of Clinton and McCain. The Petraus hearings provided the backdrop to enumerate Clinton lies and McCain's hypocrisy. Did you miss it?

Blue Dog Dems for Obama is good news
[Read the article: Obama picks up support from Bloomberg-ites]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This lends credence to the fact that Obama can form a coalition of disparate people. Sam Nunn should be in Hillary's camp. After all, he is a blue dog democrat.

Instead of ganging up with the media
[Read the article: Debating the debate, complaining about complaining]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary at her best and in her element. She blames the media for her failures but when the media (or rather her surrogate puffoffolous) start to gang bang obama,, what does she so? She joins them in the gang banging. This is the trouble with Hillary. She is a quick learner, but a learner of all things base in our society of gossip and innuendo. If she, like Obama would call the media on their bluff, she would indeed come out smelling like a rose. She hates the right wing conspiracy, but joins it with Scaife Mellon. She hates the media but copies their tactics. This is her MO. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
So I know, that when Obama wins 2008, she will join him. She is a joiner and does suck up to power to hide her own insecurities.
