Let us view this for what it really is
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We started out with embarassment of riches with a black man and a white woman running for the POTUS. What we have ended up with is the reality of what each candidate stands for, an outcome of what the primary process is there for in the first place.
Barack Obama showed an extraordinary ability to bring together a disparate coalition of people from across the United States. He tapped into the vast discontent and yes "bitterness" of the people who have been for so long, led down the garden path. Regardless of his race, men and women from all over, came out in droves to support his candidacy. I never thought that there would be a possibility of a black man elected to the highest office in the land, in my lifetime. Racism still exists in this country. But Obama has been able to transcend that and appeal to the better angels within each of us.
But Hillary, who came in ready to be annointed, has shown the darker side, which gave people pause to reconsider her character and her so called "experience" while being the cuckolded wife of a philandering president. Most of us can overlook that as something between two people who agreed to stay married. But their pathology of lies and obfuscations only helped to drive people away from their candidacy.
I say "their candidacy" because Obama is really running against two people, Hill and Bill. That he is still standing shows his stamina to take on this power couple who have left no stone unturned in demonizing Obama with dirty attack ads and unscrupulous finger wagging, not to mention their moneyed cohorts threatening and intimidating Nancy Pelosi, imagine, another woman.
Hillary was vetted and what we saw is a continuum of how much the Clintons are beholden to special interests. We also know that the Clinton years were not all that beneficial for a lot of people, especially women with children who they gleefully threw under the bus to please their GOP masters, not to mention gays in the military and the horrific omnibus crime bill that Bill signed. The picture emerged for democrats that the Clintons really were not that progressive or liberal for that matter.
So where does sexism come in at all? When Hillary started to lose, she threw in the kitchen sink which went against everything that most women stand for not to mention most men. Unlike Obama who was able to transcend race, Hillary played to the worst stereotype of the woman scorned.
Eventually this is not about sexism but about Hillary. More and more women have been turned off by Hillary's scorched earth tactics and PA I think, will now close the deal. Women also are not voting for Hillary, not because she is a woman, but because she is Hillary.

Let us be clear
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]that racism and sexism is alive and well in the US albeit around the world. Let us not kid ourselves that after Obama gets elected POTUS that that will be the end of racism. We still have a long ways to go to get that monkey off our backs.
Sexism is alive too. But just because women and men did not vote for Hillary does not mean they are sexist. Hillary just did not qualify.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Kind of like the how the "small town" people feel about Obama
Hillary just got booed and hissed at twice by these same small town people when she condescended to their bitterness. Think you should know.

Nepotism
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary is running solely on her name recognition and the cuckold's husband's coattails. This is nepotism, pure and simple and very antifeminist. Since when have dynastic rule been legitimized in this country?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I just can't figure out where this "I hate Hillary" thing came from. But the intensity of it is...weird and troubling.
-- Betaille
Could it just be that your husband sees Hillary as what she really is, i.e. untrustworthy, and that you are in denial and will not admit to the fact that Hillary is some severe problems telling the truth?
Your husband is not a sexist anymore than he is beyond race if he is supporting Obama.

Clinton attacks Gore to get Obama
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]HILLARY Clinton has created fractures within her own party after controversially slighting Al Gore and John Kerry while seeking to portray Barack Obama as out-of-touch with the American people.
The unprovoked attacks on Mr Gore and Senator Kerry came as a British newspaper reported that Mr Gore and former president Jimmy Carter would either privately or publicly appeal to Senator Clinton to pull out of the Democratic primaries and clear the way for Senator Obama to be anointed as the party's candidate for the November presidential election.
Senator Kerry has endorsed Senator Obama, who leads the race.
Mr Carter yesterday said he would not yet endorse a candidate but made it clear his entire family was pressing him to support Senator Obama.

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am sick and tired of Hillary supporters decrying about how Obama cannot win the GE because the GOP will come after him and how Hillary is more electable. I say POPPYCOCK to that. Shoot that Hillary talking point to death once and for all. And here is why.
The GOP will come after Obama just the same as they will come after Hillary. There is no doubt in anyone's mind about that.OK? Hillary is much more hated by the right wing voters than Obama. Get that. They will be galvanized more to take her out with every trick in the book.
Hillary will lose her support with many Dems as well because she will have won the nomination through stealing it. get that too. So who is going to elect her?
Obama is more electable than Hillary. And Obama will win.
