  • Rebecca Traister and Salon again distort sexism to benefit Clinton

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]

Hillary Clinton is losing not because she is a woman, but because she is Hillary. Salon cannot get that through their thick heads as they continue to blame Obama, blame Obama supporters, blame male Obama supporters and blame women Obama supporters that are first, second and third wave feminists. Blame the media, blame the Democrats and blame the Republicans. Blame everyone but Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has, to date, run a dirty campaign with disgusting attack ads, shrill finger wagging of Shame on You Barack Obama, faux foreign policy experience and lies that would make tricky Dick Nixon squirm in his grave.

What a self serving piece of gender analysis to again fit the narrative that Salon and Joan Walsh have taken in endorsing Hillary, who is skidding fast toward a place in history that will not look at her more negatively than what Salon spins her out to be. What is feminism but equal rights for men and women. Nothing more and nothing less. Feminism does not mean that when the going gets tough, the self described tough hide behind whiney displays of media and gender bias. But Hillary has shown her toughness in less than acceptable ways. She has become like her tormentors of the vast right wing conspiracy. She has gone after Obama playing dirty politics, playing the gender card and playing oh so deceitful that Lee Atwater would be sitting on her knees learning the craft of kitchen sink politics were her still alive.

Rebecca is a thirty something columnist who tries to analyse the different phases of feminism, but in her own, sheltered, anecdotal way. Women in my family, my friends and colleagues all voted for Obama without any harassment from males of any color. They made up their own minds, went and cast their vote for Obama. Many women friends of all color who did vote for Hillary now regret that they did so, especially after they saw how Hillary has conducted herself over the last few weeks. This is also anecdotal, but I would like to know, what data Rebecca used to analyse and parse the 3 waves of feminism. I know so many white women across the waves who voted for Obama that I am at a loss to understand who these white women are, who are whining about Hillary's raw treatment. Many of them are assuredly Reagan Democrats who will never vote for a black man. So why doesn't Salon also talk about that?

Hillary is losing because she is Hillary and not because she is a woman. One only needs to look at the cross section of society that has endorsed Obama, many of them white women.

Isn't it any wonder that many women of color cannot relate to the feminism of some white women?

the fact that men have to prove themselves to women by being accomplished in some way in order to have sex and relationships and women are not required to perform in any comparable way.

    --

I think I get your drift. Women also have to prove themselves to men in order to be accepted by men. I am an Obama supporter, and I believe, that whiney women are not feminists. They will run to mommy, daddy or husband whenever someone slaps them for a fight they themselves provoked. Strong, honest women need not pander to men or women for that matter. They must stand on the courage of their convictions and withstand every wind that blows without stooping to dirty politics. That is an accomplishment that no one can take away from them.

She did keep her docile husband under wraps. But he was naturally docile. The Clintons however are two alpha lusters for power. What will Bill's position be? Probably missionary, this time around.

Ergo, white women are all sexist. End of debate.

So Chelsea Clinton asked a young white woman what she feared the most

"Obama" she said, "I fear the least."

"Osama" she said, "I quit fearing about"

"But the one I fear the most," she said, "is your mamma."

Mark my words folks. Hillary is grooming to run with McCain. You heard it from me first. They will still lose to Obama.

Read about the feminist Seal Press scandal

    http://www.salon.com/mwt/broadsheet/2008/04/11/seal_press/index.html

Ever wonder why women of color never could relate to middle class white feminism?

____"I guess a particularly bitter editorial board could choose to sabotage the Democratic candidate in the general election..."____

Not many Republicans come to Salon except for the Reagan Democrats who keep shilling for Hillary. No big loss there. Obama will still win.

Imagine, from being double digits behind in polls Obama is now even with Hillary. Not that she is that popular as one poster would suggest, but that she has lost that much ground to a young upstart.
