You are exactly right. Much of Hillary's support is extremely soft, of independents who generally vote Republikan, and who will be damned if they would vote for a black guy. You can sense that in many of the die hard Hillary supporters who are passing themselves off as progressives but really spouting recessive rhetoric against the candidacy of Obama. There is not much separating the politics of Hillary from those of McCain and she has a better chance to run with him as his VP. These erstwhile Hillary supporters will go for that. No big loss for Obama anyway. His supporters are solid, well informed and ready for change.

Absolutely. Obama will get the nomination and will win handily over McCain. The media and pollsters have to create drama to keep the lumpen masses in thrall. 2 die hard GOP colleagues will vote for Obama. Is this an anomaly? I think not. There is a seismic shift in the conversations of people around the country. That is what the Clinton shills are trying to tamp down and are not succeeding. They have demonized Obama in so many manifestations of the devil, and he is till standing.

She says she worked in the civil rights movement. Yeah. Did see her gleefully holding the hose for Bull Connor.

Obama is the candidate who will defeat McCain in the general elections. See how well he has handled Hillary trying to swiftboat him. He has turned it into an opportunity to speak about issues that are important to the American people. Kerry should have responded with vigor when he got swiftboated. He did not and lost the elections.

25% of Hillary supporters are Independent or Republikan. That's who she was speaking to when she elevated her admiration for McCain. Even if they don't vote for Obama, he has gotten enough new people to register and more other Independents would rather vote for Obama than Hillary.

What everyone has to take into account here, is that Hillary has far bigger negative pollings than other candidates. The most vituperative anti Obama people on Salon will certainly vote for McCain than vote for a black man. That is a given. But fortunately there are many many white folk who voted for Obama and will vote for Obama who formerly voted for Clinton. If they don't, Hillary will go down in history as the first woman who destroyed the Democratic Party.

This charade has to end. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. The media needs to stop enabling Hillary's bi-polar behavior, Al Gore needs to weigh in and call her bluff, Nancy Pelosi has already cast in her lot with Obama however tongue in cheek, John Edwards needs to release his delegates and put his delegates where his mouth is, the DNC can muscle Hillary out of her "win-at-any-cost" madness. All Democrats need to take a long breath and ponder why they are Democrats in the first place. We will win in November. Go Obama. Make those essential speeches and make people think instead of react. You are doing a great job.

Chris Matthews is not a huge fan of Hillary's in Hardball. But he does get something runnin' down his leg when he listens to Obama. Olberman has already read his Riot act to Hillary and the other guy is as cute and stupid as the cute but stupid guy on CNN and they both seem to be leaning toward Obama. MSNBC as a whole was chastised by Media Matters on their "sexist" coverage of Hillary, especially Chris Matthews and had one of their correspondents suspended for "pimping" Chelsea.

This is the first campaign since Robert Kennedy that has stirred the hearts and minds of American people. The electorate has woken up. And you call it hubris?

We have to call for a constitutional ammendment to ban dynastic rule instead of flag burning which Hillary shamelessly promoted.

    Hillary's Nasty Pastorate

Barbara Ehrenreich is the author of thirteen books, including the New York Times bestseller Nickel and Dimed. A frequent contributor to the New York Times, Harpers, and the Progressive, she is a contributing writer to Time magazine. She lives in Florida.

There's a reason why Hillary Clinton has remained relatively silent during the flap over intemperate remarks by Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. When it comes to unsavory religious affiliations, she's a lot more vulnerable than Obama.

and the poor white people had to suffer because while the colored folk were looting the stores, the white folk were humbly scavenging for something to eat. Now I understand by a seemingly intelligent person is so committed to bring Obama down.

Did you put Sirhan Sirhan on to the dastardly deed? Anyone with a double name like that, is trouble. Maybe that's why both Obama and Hillary are coddling up to Israel - kinda like a death wish.
