We've had a series of rescued keeshonden (still have one). All loved to walk and meet people -- they much prefer people to other animals who are not squirrels. As they got elderly their back legs started to go. When the first one got real bad, we scheduled a final vet appointment for a Saturday morning. He figured it out and yelled and screamed and carried on all night. He wasn't ready. So we explored other options. The wheelchairs looked great but measuring for one was tricky, and we couldn't figure out how he'd lie down to nap and get up again. Plus we have a pool and he had to be watched carefully around the pool as he thought he could still swim and liked the idea. Then we found the stroller. Made it easy to take him for walks where he could sit and rule the world, and everybody paid attention to HIM HIM HIM. And easy to get to the vet. Kept him with us until e was ready to go. Same stroller then served #2 as she declined. And it's waiting for #3.
