Dodd is emerging as the candidate with real leadership ability. He may be the proverbial dark horse we need to get this country back on the right track.
Glanced over the introductory sentence and thought you were describing an actual scenario. Actually, it seemed very realistic knowing how Cheney and Bush operate. Your point is well taken...these guys are looking for a pretext to start the bombing. I didn't think they were crazy enough to invade Iraq...but now I know differently.
When I read the exchange of emails I could only come to one conclusion: this guy shows typical right-wing paranoia. He's a good candidate for Hate Radio when he retires from the military.
When I read Friedman's op ed piece in the NYT this morning I was left shaking my head. He's obviously scared that the American people might buy into Obama's idea of using diplomacy to deal with our so-called enemies in the Middle East. He and his fellow pundits did a con job on the American people back in 2002...hopefully we'll be smart enough not to be fooled by these same NeoCon arguments again.
I hope someone will email a copy of this post to Gary Hart and the other so-called "Democrats" who are supporting this effort to have a billionaire buy the Presidency of the United States.
It's time that Obama fought back against the hate-mongers who are trying to detroy him by claiming he's a Muslim. I was delighted with what he had to say about his personal beliefs in the debate last night. When you have people getting emails and mailers full of lies...you have to fight back. Good for Obama!!
Last night in the debate Obama indicated that his religions convictions informed his political views. He made particular reference to the admonition that we are our brother's keeper. If this is true - and I tend to believe him - then this is his best card in neutralizing the hate-mongers who are trying to brand him as some kind of evil Muslim. His only hope is to fight a negative message with a positive message.
What we saw yesterday was a backlash against the Clintons. Most of the pundits failed to appreciate the extent to which the African-American community were offended by some of the smears coming from Clinton surrogates. What the AA community did yesterday was send a message to America that they don't want to put up with this sh*t anymore.
