You, sir, are a douche bag.

If you want to unplug and rediscover yourself, fine. More power to you. But to parade the fact on a public forum as if it were some sort of arduous and inspiring journey of enlightenment is incredibly shallow and arrogant. Sure, you, and probably everyone you know, is jacked into the information superhighway 24/7, but don't forget that, probably just down the block, there's someone who's homeless, hungry, and unsure where they're going to sleep tonight. I'm sure you'll have a rough time not being able to update for Facebook status for (gasp) a few weeks, but don't forget: That's is a really petty problem.
