unconcealed hypocrisy

It only gets more transparent. Even Keith O. pulls his punches. The best I expect from him is exposing sockpuppetry and the astroturfing of lies that are made up entirely - like AP's health reform cost estimate from last week. I saw it again on MSNBC's Morning Joe. Why I waste my time with criminal liars and cheats I don't know....they smell funny.

Rock Paper Scissors

would provide better judicial guidance! President Obama's in the same cage with the BushCo & Gonzalez outlaws now! For a very smart, well-educated Constitutional law professor, he's really making a huge mistake with this. I wonder who's advising him?

Politico is far more decadent than that.

Everybody in the village (D.C.) knows that the 'serious people' (lawyer/lobbyists and their aides, assistants and PR personnel from all sides along with Congressmen and a few Senators) have plenty of money from corporate sponsors for the very best parties, receptions and dinners, while the DFH bloggers have very little.

The establishment is a state of myth, money and vanity as opposed to a state of mind and incisive thinking. It's just driven by party planners and party events that are as vapid as the memes expressed in Politico itself. The point is that Politico wants to profit and get invited back.

What you miss in your send-up is the flavor of the drinking, decadence and vanity that they all embrace. I was driven from that world by a certain amount of self-loathing and an equally deluded 'spiritual and idealistic purity.' ...false piety, as I again enjoy parties a lot.

Politico is merely a spoof of EXILED's reality-based "What You Should Think." I see Politico as being arch and dry-witted in ironic echoes of Republican talking points. Otherwise, I can't stand any of their talking heads, no less actually read any of their drivel. It's usually compromised and irrelevant unreality - what the villagers need the morning after.

Massing wholly lacks logic and integrity.

The story of the situational ethics dictated by "the practical considerations policymakers must contend with..." is a descent into hypocrisy and elitism, the hallmarks of DC villagers.

Massing lifts a bit of the curtain and then slams it down hard as if to obtain credibility for his next invitation to an establishment-held reception or dinner. That's the way the game is played these days by a media beholden to parties and celebrations of one kind or another. Establishment forces have money for these, so media critics & 'pundits' are always looking for a way to compromise sympathetic knowledge with misrepresentation of facts & ethics.

But, witness how Massing is the story here. I'm sure we play right into his plot for more party invites by criticizing him. It's a ploy - only a bit nefarious - and counter-establishment types serve at their pleasure as long as Glenn and others serve as dutiful critics. Ignore him as unimportant, irrelevant, disreputable and you jeopardize his meal ticket, Glenn.

Protest on the left plays havoc for us with their coalescence. I would say that your criticism is far too lenient; we should f**k them all somehow where they breathe. As soon as we realize that and throw eggs and rotten vegs and disrupt their equilibrium, we start to win. Establishment types don't like it when their shirts get mussed. Principled criticism merely yields credit for their soldiers. Massing is just one enemy of the truth.

More compelling reasons for investigation and prosecution of Bush Cheney.

Through their self-righteous elitism and perverted values, politicians are so completely removed from reality and law that they scarcely recognize their duties or obligations.

Partisan lobbyists do not even exist in this; to a large extent, they are driven by the same ruthless fear-mongering that Cheney and the Straussians prize above all else.

what I'm saying is that these heinous bastards are not worthy of our respect at all. The sooner they get pelted with eggs and rotten tomatoes the better. I'm just disgusted with them all, right and left. They should know it. Completely dishonorable, illogical, immoral and irrational decisions ensue from their total removal from the sphere of reality. They are no better than animals!

@ -- Chris Sinnard

This is John Walker-Lindh's plight - caught up amid the same screw-ups who gave us the last administration. What a bunch of animals. They should be starved, frozen & tortured like their victims. Safer? From what exactly? Another one-off? Cheney, in particular, deserves nothing less than death by firing squad for his stunts. Immoral screw-up.

The illicit combination of corporate interests and taxpayer-funded government...

Whatever happened to "the consent of the governed"?

Is it Fascism, or what?

They merely appear to be Republican bootlickers...this is the reason there are more threats of violence and an upsurge in 'homegrown terrorism.'

It catalyzes a coalescence between progressives and teabaggers.

Republican or Democrat - a dubious distinction.
