I'm new to commenting here, and I read Glenn's exhortation the other day on the off-topic comment wars, but really Electro Robot - I have not seen a single mention of the word "Jew" (at all)in the 7 or 8 pages of letters I've read through and no disparaging uses over the entire list of comments that I scanned.

What exactly is wrong with you? What is your point? And I think someone else asked you before to give the rest of us your recommended online reading list (that would be blogs or news sites).

I did a little research and it looks as though you've published at least 20 letters today, throughout the course of the day. Again, what is your point?

And WHY must you conflate criticism of Israel, at least insofar as it is being discussed here in terms of AIPAC and the far right Israeli viewpoint that seems to dominate the discourse in Washington, and arguably leads us (that's the citizens of the U.S.) into war with anti-Semitism?

You do realize that this tactic not only makes you look insane and like a shill for the neocons, but may actually render you certifiably insane?

Further if I am correct, and my apologies for having to say this, but do you realize that Glenn is Jewish? (If I'm wrong, whoops - but it's not essential to my point anyway). What is his hidden agenda?

"Sybil" is what the wingnut blog comment crew try to invoke whenever they see more than one /quote unquote/ liberal presenting their views rationally and in the hopes of sparking a real debate or moving away from talking points.

We could use some rational commentary from another angle (specifically, the "right") other than outright denial or name calling. The lot we have here have reading comprehension issues, spelling problems, and are really quite unhinged. I think I read Glenn specifically call one of those aliases out the other day for being, and I quote, INSANE.

I find it very hard to understand why anyone bothers responding to Scooter, but apparently he has succeeded in an ever so slight manner of pulling this thread off course as well.

In case anyone forgot, after I would say 10 attempts made to explain the situation regarding Larry DiRita, Scooter utterly failed to grasp two important concepts: 1) that the Administration (through disseminating outright propaganda) was breaking the law and 2) thatthe So-Called Liberal Media (by gobbling up any pro-war nonsense they could get their hands on and ignoring contrary analysis) were proving their corporatist/right wing (hence not liberal) bias in a manner that should be transparent to anyone with a brain.

This was reason enough for me to refrain from commenting yesterday, and it disappoints me a little to see his factless ranting getting so much attention today. At least yesterday he seemed to think he was presenting a coherent argument.

Ho hum. In any case, I haven't been around here long enough to understand how trolls are treated around here. But I did see that Glenn just posted something new regarding Israel. Get ready for Scooter's alter egos Electro Spam Bot and Proximity Warning to crawl on out of the woodwork. Soooooooo predictable.

The swipe at Edwards was secondary to the political correctness angle suffered by Isaiah Washington. Meanwhile back at the quote, does she actually call Edwards a "faggot"? But now it is getting obvious that some posts by some posters are being censored.

His letter here today was a bit off the mark, but hardly deserving of the IMMEDIATE scorn of Glenn and other letter writers.

Was something censored there too?

I mean I think I have a pretty good grasp of the subtleties of the issues at hand here, but that one threw me for a real loop.

Eh, I think I will avoid this letters section whenever Israel is even a minor and remote portion of the discussion.
