  • Bush is a criminal and a liar

[Read the article: Right-wingers turn against Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You make it sound like the Bush administration is just an ordinary typical one - rather than a real gang of criminals whose crimes have been well documented - and he is spending our money on an illegal war - that's the big spending he is doing - he has made Monstrous cuts to social programs which is causing immense suffering. And then giving tax cuts to his rich buddies - it goes on and on and it all began with a stolen election in 2000 and probably another in 2004. He and his cronies are destroying this country.

It's just too bad that his oh so moral base is not in the least bit concerned about the reality of how immoral these people really are.

  • boy you have got it right

    [Read the article: Playing chicken]

It is so infuriating to see how complicit these so called democrats are. They are on the side of the corporations and that is that - they just play pretend.

  • citizens of Iraq

[Read the article: "Even Richard Nixon knew it was time to resign"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I totally agree with you Kieth and I thank you for having the guts to speak out the way you do knowing how dangerous it could be.

Just one thing bothers me and that is when it is mentioned that our U.S. soldiers are dying in Iraq and not a word about the citizens of that country who have been going through untold horrors for so very long now and a good deal of it at our hands. Not only soldiers die but ordinary citizens are murdered, thrown out of their homes, starved, mutilated, tortured and terrorized by this country ....and our young soldiers are the ones being trained to perform these acts and indoctrinated to think it is their patriotic duty. This is the most discraceful thing and we must not forget what we are doing over there.

    Happy? fourth of July.

  • Yaris is much better

[Read the article: Test drive: The Smart car is revolutionary]

I have a Yaris and I get 38 to 45 mpgs. Other people say they have coaxed up to 60 out of it but I don't check my mileage much. I can say that we filled up in Mill Valley and drove all the way to L.A. before we had to fill again. That's really good I think! It's a four seater too and it doesn't have the problems with braking and shifting in the automatic that the smart has. Why is no-one talking about this car? It handles like a dream, it's roomy enough inside to seat four people comfortably, the mileage is great and it parks anywhere easily and it is totally cute....
