Accountability of Our Citizens

There was no real torture but real torture was needed

but let's go get Bush and make him account for, well, nothing. Reminds me of people against capital pu8nishment. These slobs aren't in there for parking tickets, and pink panties aren't torture. Get over it, achy-breaky hearts. Figger out how to raise your kids instead of letting them run wild.

Another reason to hold these officials accountable is so that people like terkoy and Dick Cheney can finally stop pretending that what happened was nothing. It's inexcusable for these people to continue to deny that we tortured people (some to death) when there is ample evidence of this fact in the government's own documents - documents that are easily available for everyone to read on the internet. But because we have people, for whatever reason, who refuse to read these documents and face up to the truth, we must have the contents examined in a court of law and publicized in the MSM. I realize that even then some people will still deny that torture occurred(after all we still have people who deny the holocaust happened) but it will be a lot harder for them to do so if all of the information is widely disseminated to the public.

As citizens we must be held accountable too. We can't take the easy way out by ignoring these crimes or pretending they never happened. We have an obligation to let future generations know what happened in our names and let them know that as a country we stood up for the rule of law. To do anything less would allow the Terkoy's and Cheney's of this world to continue to mislead another generation into believing that nothing happened. The lies must end and it's up to all of us to see that they do.
