Before everyone oohs and aahs over the Spore game, please check the fact that EA (Electronic Arts) is planning to put SecuRom, a DRM device, into this game.
If you don't know what this means, google it and you will find it is a nasty form of a rootkit which could destroy your computer, if not just your DVD burner and CD burners.
Better forwarned and forarmed is the best protection against this massive problem that has been haunting all the latest games from the company.
It has caused many (and there have been hundreds of reports) that this shuts down your computer and destroys emulation software.
It will also have a 3 install limit, no matter which computer you're using.
The LW sounds like they're trying to do good.
Corporations do not recognize good intentions, or reports of higher-ups doing bad stuff.
No matter where you stand, if you want your job tomorrow, apologize and move on.
Otherwise, the corporation will move on without you. It existed before you started working there, and it will exist after you leave.
You do not do yourself a whole lot of good by having this exist on your employee information sheet, which every corporation keeps-and sometimes they get passed on to the next employer-under the heading of "This person does not play well with others, is a trouble-maker."
Yeah, that's illegal, but it's done anyway.
Trust me, it's not worth losing a job over for a higher up who happens to have a big title and income-and who probably has the clout to get you fired tomorrow.
It may be apocryphal, but didn't Bush say these immortal words:
"The Constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper!"
If he didn't say it, I'd be surprised. He's acted like he did and believes it, for all this time.
Good take down today..but with that slim a majority, I can only look forward to having him leave office.
Unfortunately, the detainees have no such luck. They get to stay in Guantanamo until either their cases come up for appeal or they die.
No, this ruling doesn't do anything fast-but it starts the process.
While it is true that Vicodin is a very powerful pain killer, one that should not be mixed with any kind of liquor, it is also very effective at treating short-term pain.
I just hope BB does not use very much of it, and that his doctor is searching for a more sustainable long-term analgesic. It's ok for the short run, but it is not recommended for the rest of one's life.
Trust me, being hooked on Vicodin is the next step to being hooked on the badder drugs..like Percocet. That stuff is deadlier than hell.
Get better soon, Creator!
At first, I thought this was a joke, then I looked up the actual malady..and it's not even funny.
If you are in that kind of pain, Berkeley, you should see a doctor or a neurologist asap-because they're the only ones who can take care of this problem. All of us are not able to do this..sorry, but we're just your audience.
Hope you get some relief soon.
PS-we will probably understand if you don't do your comic for a while. Debilitating illness can destroy your creative drive. Take it easy, will ya?
She won't commit to your "relationship" because there isn't one.
You're in her "body of the month" club, and I sincerely doubt that you're the first lover she's had.
She's pulling your strings and making you dance to her tune.
She knows it, and she loves every single minute of it. It's called manipulation and she's getting a kick out of telling her girlfriends "I've got a lover who does anything I want."
Guess what? You're a fool, and her husband has first dibs on her.
I don't think she's going to change for you.
Think it's time for you to grow up and move on with your life because she's not going to get a divorce and she won't change.
But if you really want to shake the tree, call her husband up sometime when she's not home and tell him about this relationship. Bet that's gonna cause all kinds of crap to fly..and you'll be surprised how fast things change.
"he seems to just want to be a parasite of my life, work and relationships."
That's the point. He's not going to change. He will suck the marrow from your bones and feast on your soul. Dump him before he completely destroys any and all ability you have to think and feel for yourself.
You nailed it all in that one sentence, and you allowed it to happen. No shrink in the world is going to fix him, but you can fix you to get the hell out of this relationship.
Therapists are nice if you have a temporary problem in a relationship that can be fixed. Doesn't sound like one to me.
There's one other place where being stoned is not a good idea-at a job interview. Most interviewers can spot a stoner a mile away, and if you even smell like pot, you'll be finished before you start.
Have fun in school, but drop the pot as a full-time job before you get out into the real world-it has a very strict code of behavior for employment.
Steve quotes is "SOS" by Abba-lyric for lyric..I can just hear that tune.
Thanks alot! Now I won't be able to get through the day without hearing it in my head every waking moment...damn!
