Get out NOW!

CT gave the worst advice, ever-this girl has already assumed control over your husband, and your marriage is dead.

Get out while you can, without legal shit coming down over your head..because if this girl (Lolita is the name) has a mean streak (which she does) she will accuse you of doing something to get the authorities into the act, and someone will end up in jail. The authorities will side with her, and you will have nothing but trouble from this entire situation.

No way are you going to reclaim your marriage-it's over. Your husband has already made his choice. It's not you. You have every right to move out of the house and take everything you own.

Because when it comes to light, the child molestation charges your husband will face when she rats him out will destroy his life-don't let it take you down as well. They might not be true, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. 13 year olds are not known for their emotional maturity.

This is a very brutal letter, but there are some children that once they've been abused, will destroy everyone around them-and I think she's one.

Save yourself first. Everyone else can wait.

Original article: Is Obama president yet?

Still hanging on..and on

While the Current Occupant still resides at the present address, he doesn't notice that nobody wants to talk to him..but he would like to have everyone listen to him. It's gotten so bad that even the media is ignoring any and all of his appearances.

Can't hope but hang on until Jan. 20th, for that is when the real President will finally come into power.

Maybe then the changes we have been waiting for will happen, but I dread to know what his predecessor will do in his remaining time-how many pardons is he writing up? How many executive orders is he giving out? When the hell will he finally get out of our sight so we can reclaim our honor and collective dignity?

Can't happen soon enough-but let's not dump the Constitution to that end. No sense in subverting the same document the CO has been ignoring for the last 8 years, because he would have the last laugh at our expense.

Let's not go there.

Original article: Goodbye to Guantánamo?

The government will go on

It's just the administration that is changing-not the military, not the courts, and everything does not change instantaneously.

It's going to take some time to work out the details of any closure, and where everyone is going to end up-there are some detainees who can't be placed in any country because they're being refused entry; there are some who are so dangerous that the only place would be the SuperMax facility in Colorado (I think that's where the federal facility is) and they have to be moved pretty carefully, lest their friends get into the act.

That it will be closed is a certainty-but not just yet. It's going to take time. The government works at a glacial pace, and for them to even do anything without the required paperwork would be a miracle-but Obama has to be in office and have given an executive order to shut it down before anything will be started.

Original article: The cheerful idiot

Unhappy for George?

The snide comments about "Mambo" and the soon to be "comeuppance" of Obama's staff are pretty snotty and hateful.

We will go on, true..but it might not be with you either, Garrison, if you keep this tone of writing up. American voters got smart for once in the last 8 years and elected someone with brains instead of money.

I always thought you were a liberal-this piece doesn't do much for your image, and I think you'd better take a break for a while..your white bias is showing all over the place.

The first day

After 8 years of a near dictatorship, Mr. Obama has done a great first day-by starting the process to shut down Guantanamo, stopping the secret trials, shutting down the CIA's prisons and ordering an end to the barbaric torture of all detainees in custody.

Yes, we got the right guy for once-one who is not afraid of looking in the closet for all those nasty skeletons and cleaning it out.

I just hope we can stomach what he finds in there.

Original article: The power of the pen

Getting it Right

"That said, Barack and his Cabinet deserves a little time to do this carefully. But they must do it RIGHT, or the world will not forget it."

To hell with the world-he has to make the U.S.Government not forget it-especially the CIA and the NSA. He still hasn't revoked the NSA's spying privileges, or the other fun and games that the CIA has been up to, namely rendition.

It's a good small start-but 8 years of operating "The terrorists are going to kill us all!!!" takes a while to shut down.

Original article: Ted Haggard in exile

Judging

"If you're at all familiar with Ted Haggard's story, you've probably already judged the man badly."

No, I haven't. He's a liar, hypocrite, and fundamentalist Christian with no sympathy for anyone except himself.

If he's so weak as to "accept" a so-called exile from a state in this country by a church, he's stupid. No church on earth has that power. Probably the payoff did it, not any edict from a church.

But then again, to get caught doing exactly what he was preaching against is stupid, too.

There isn't a law against that-too bad.

45 and expecting?

I seriously doubt that Mrs. Obama is pregnant, and I should hope she would know the difficulties of having children after the age of 40.

People who use the term "Baby Bump" are just inherently vicious, idle, and jealous gossip mongers who have nothing better to do than watch the midsection of no-name celebrities.

It is an insulting and demeaning term, and it should be eradicated from the language-like the term "Preggers."

While I'm a feminist from way back, there are certain human conditions that shouldn't be diminished by cutesy, stupid terms.

Would you call cancer the "those bad cells", if it were less threatening? Of course not.
