Egg McMuffin's aren't bad these days

I don't know about your local Mickey D's, but the Egg McMuffins I've had lately are surprisingly fresh and taste pretty good. Not at all rubbery, and dare I say, some even resemble the photos on the menus?!

this is actually good for college hoops

Okay, we will miss a few super-athletic stars, but in the end, would a return to the days of 4-year players really be that bad? Even though I'm an Arizona alumnus, I say let Jennings go and break that ground, and while he's at it, take the rest of the one-and-done guys with him. Let's play it out for a few years and see how it affects the NBA. If these guys ultimately find success via the European circuit, then great for them. If not, the pendulum will swing the other way and future classes of kids with "upside" will decide on going the NCAA route. I want kids who actually want to play college ball at my school.

Exactly how is her name pronounced?

Is it Diane Fedele? or "Die, Infidel"?

Can you wait until he's sworn in, at least?

Sheesh, it's enough to make me go back to voting republican after 8 years. Can the dems ever support ANYONE and not self-destruct? I appreciate the efforts to keep Obama honest, but man, let's wait until he has official capacity to make the rules and decisions before you start sniping. Did you really expect him to do a 180 on everything from the last administration on day 1? How about being thankful he's assembling a team based on ability and competence. That, in and of itself is a really big and welcomed change.

Original article: Disappointed by Rick Warren

Not the best choice, but...

I can't say that I'm thrilled by the selection of Warren, either. However, I voted for Obama because I trusted that he would not swing the pendulum to the opposite extreme and have a bitterly partisan administration ruling from the far left. There were better choices than Warren, but I like that Obama is not afraid of controversy and is interested in many different points of view. Same goes for his cabinet - I know many of his supporters are disappointed in the cabinet not having more people with aggressive/progressive agendas. I, for one, welcome selection of a cabinet based on abilities, rather than cronyism and cultural ideology. Let them fix this wreck of an economy and undo all the damaging legislation from the last 8 years first. When the country is back on its feet, then maybe we can discuss where to go from there.

I voted for a change, not a 180 degree swing - let's keep the hand-wringing to a minimum.

I appreciate the effort to hold Obama accountable. Yet at the same time, I can't help but think about the philosophy that a compromise is when everyone is unhappy...
