Attention Bill Kristol
[Read the article: The John McCain "centrism" fallacy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Funny, Glenn, Bill Kristol wrote about McCain today as well. But he was far more complementary than you. He seems to think that McCain earned the Presidency through five years as a POW. Top that!!

Very Funny Bloggingheads!
[Read the article: Book news and media campaign coverage]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I laughed out loud several times! Gosh, I felt a little bad for AMC. I'm not the most verbally articulate person either, lord knows.
Every time she paused for long moments and then took her time to preface her statements, I knew she was stumped. And then Glenn would jump in and rip her arguments to shreds.
Reading between the lines, I'd say:
-AMC is totally in the tank for McCain, but will not admit it.
-AMC does not to like to have her credibility questioned while she is in said tank.
-AMC likes feedback, but not when posters hurt her feelings.
-AMC talked about her husband far too much for someone engaged in a political discussion (Never seen Glenn mention his love life).
An excellent discussion, I may watch it again.

Drezner and McArdle
[Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Their snide asides about Glenn personally smacks of projection to me. "Why use 10 words when 100 will do", "Non-Glenn Greenwald power structure".
Seriously, their just jealous. Hell, I'm jealous of Glenn's writing abilities! But Glenn has a following and a credibility that he earned the hard way, and they can't stand it.
So, when Glenn criticizes them, and they can't respond with reasoned logic, they go after him personally.
I hope they read this and wince.

This is Devastating news for Dems
[Read the article: Have Republicans given up on FISA and telecom amnesty?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Right? The GOP (the party of inclusion) *own* economic issues! They're going to wipe the floor with those stupid hippies who want to raise taxes for health care and bridges and Veterans services.

The date in the heading is incorrect
[Read the article: New York Times editorial scolds Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I nearly had a heart attack when I saw it!

Where's the link?
[Read the article: Brian Williams nominates Peggy Noonan for a Pulitzer Prize]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can't see the link to Brian William's blog. Is that intentional for some reason?

Brian Williams Fights Back!
[Read the article: Neocons and the truth: Bitter enemies to the end]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Daily Nightly blog is no longer posting comments critical of the decision not to report the Pentagon Generals story. Yesterdays comments section had only three comments (though I made a submission), and they appeared to be from Brian's personal fan club, who love him and think he is so cute!
By the way, Glenn, we're going to have agree to disagree about Canada. I sincerely believe that, compared to the US, it is paradise up here, and if you lived here also, you might think the same. It's all good though.

You Should Be Proud
[Read the article: Michael O'Hanlon's defense of his pro-war record]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Your're a patriot and a hero, Glenn. And a very gifted writer to boot.
-
Congratulations
[Read the article: NYT front page reports on McCain's reversal on spying, executive power]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I wondered about Savage in the NYT too. You know you're a political junkie when you know everybody's name and who they work for. I even remembered the signing statement Pulitzer.
As Glenn has noted previously, he earned that Prize by combing through reams of publicly available documents. Legwork! It works, and can win you shiny prizes!
Congratulations, Glenn on making the big time in the Grey Lady. Not your first TradMedia mention (or presumably your last).
When Kristol was handed that OpEd column on a silver platter, part of the reason I was so bitter was that I could think of ten people who could really make a difference with that space, and you were top of the list.
Just out of curiosity, would you do something like that? If the NYT offered you a column, would you consider it?

A Concern Going Forward
[Read the article: David Broder: Embodiment of Beltway values]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Don't worry Glenn, the media is already gearing up for 8 years of highly skeptical, aggressive confrontation as they cover what will certainly be known as the numerous Obama administration scandals and missteps."
I worry about this also. When we (the blogosphere) criticize the press and the GOP about their fawning over people who do not deserve to be fawned over, we are just setting ourselves up for a brutal four years of Dem bashing.
An Obama administration is still the best thing for the US, but it's going to come at a very heavy price. It's going to be an excruciatingly long four years.

Bad Day for Comcast
[Read the article: Comcast censors criticisms of itself and Rep. Carney]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hee hee hee!! I imagine that right about now, this post is winging its way around the Comcast execs, with much groaning and shaking of heads.
Nice one Glenn. As usual.

Off Topic for Glenn
[Read the article: British debate highlights the cravenness and complicity of congressional Democratic "leaders"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Any comment on Tim Russert's death?

Where is Yoo's Shame?
[Read the article: John Yoo's ongoing falsehoods in service of limitless government power]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I inadvertantly cut someone off in traffic yesterday, and I felt terrible about it all day.
I really wonder what kind of psycological mechanisms someone like Yoo must employ to live with this stuff. I couldn't do it, I couldn't take it.
I guess that's why I'm a dirty fucking hippie and he's a law professor.

Sorry Everybody.com
[Read the article: MoveOn, AFSCME hit McCain on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It reminds me of the sorryeverybody.com site that emerged after the 2004 election. Thousands of Americans holding up signs of apology for re-electing George.

Check Out This Nonsense!
[Read the article: George Bush's latest powers, courtesy of the Democratic Congress]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/19/press-dissatisfied-with-t_n_108094.html
Apparently, all of the Washington Bureau Chiefs (Russert?) got together to complain the Obama isn't kissing enough ass.
They're threatening to take off the kid gloves if he doesn't give them more access!!
Ha ha ha! "Let us in your bubble! We want to be cool too! Let. Us. In. Your. Bubble!!"
