our perspective has to be that it is a gray world
While I admire your willingness to adjust to new conditions, I think it will be quite a while, if ever, before extending basic rights to those of alternate romantic preferences results in eliminating any place for heterosexuals. We do, after all, have some essential functions, at least for the nonce.
But I will write more when I find another pair of glasses, I lost mine today. Have you seen them?
Instead, he just coyly doesn't address what he would do at all, leaving us -- and the Iranians -- to guess.
Maybe Obama just didn't even want to dignify that ridiculous set-up with an answer? I sure hate answering questions I know are posed just to set a trap.
I just couldn't remember the darn password I'd given first time I logged in (as two words "Hornet Driver"), so I re-signed up and used HornetDriver (one word)."
Somebody please tell me a "Hornet" is not an airplane or a helicopter. Please, please, please let it stay on the ground.
to the acrobatics of the S-5 in 1915,
Which, BTW is a hell of a story of brave sailors, a terrible situation, an almost unbelievable quality of leadership and teamwork, which combined with fantastic endurance, and a little luck, to save every man on board from an almost certainly fatal submarine mishap.
It's a funny thing, but losing my close-up vision actually helped my bike riding skills! Yup, as they immediately noticed when I finally (after about twenty years of really not knowing what I was doing) took a motorcycle training course, my biggest fault was looking down at the ground to close to the bike.(among many others, I also leaned the wrong way! It's a wonder I never crashed.) I was looking at road which was much to near for me to do anything about whatever I happened to see. And it was worse when I was driving tired, like after work. I had to learn to look up and further out. Well, not being able to focus on anything close solved that problem.
I have also cut way back on riding at night, or even driving at night.
And we never, of course, ever ride on Saturdays. Litvaks, yes, Shabbos-breakers, no.
Let's just say, William, that if you grew up to become a tank driver, nobody would stand in your way.
The USS Nimitz (68) is proudly homeported at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard a couple blocks from where I type! When a worm makes a hole or barnacles shroud the keel the Nimitz comes here for expert repairs and refit. In a drydock suitably sized for the massive vessel. Just thought I'd mention it.
and no, a few comments on a web-board isn't going to "google bomb" McCain
Damn! What if everybody got together and typed it over and over? Would that work?
It's weird though- I thought we were supposed to be using the old "irresponsible not to speculate" standard these days.
Personally, I'm an Obama supporter who still believes in what that man is trying to do in elevating politics above the gutter.
Personally, I'm an Obama supporter who believes that man's run for the Presidency will drag us down into the gutter as never before. And a lot of people will be in the gutter after he's elected, too.
I'd love to squabble over at your place, and I am sure Mr. Greenwald, who knows a bad liability risk when he sees one, won't be sorry to see me go, but I don't like that Blogger-Google comment system.
If you are looking for a good squabbler, I'll have to register under a different name, there seems to be a problem with my Blogger-Google account. I'm even locked out of my own blog, Moosehall, or I would go squabble there.
If I can't work out that Google-Blogger password ID thing Monday, I'll register a comments account under a new ID so I don't miss out on any good squabbles.
McCain shouldn't be swiftboated? What? For the good, nay, the very survival of the country, McCain must be swiftboated because:
(Oh how I want to write this in screamin' caps)
If he can't deal with a little swift-boating, how is he gonna deal with Osama Bin Laden? Or that Iranian guy? Isn't that a fair and reasonable question? I remember it was with Kerry.
not a sausage factory. They don't pay by the link.
I might be strange, but I never had the illusion that anybody would pay me to comment.
But then again, perhaps you link-slinging skills are deserving of an emolument. Or is that something you rub on your hands?
