[Read more letters about this article: Here]Chris, I have very little to say as far as making some kind of conclusion about the quality of LWM's ideas, but today buckyl maintains that I, and several others, are really some form of LWM.
Can you substantiate the accusation that my posts were written by LWM at any time, by any method? Can you show me a method by which someone can post as Derbig Mooser, once I have an account under that name?
So you throw around one of the worst accusations of on-line behavior, and you've got nothing to back it up, in anay way, but you demand that other commentors take you seriously!
Chris, I certainly hope you are not a liberal. I have never believed in the "brain-dead liberal" and hope I don't have to start.
So from now on, when I post, shall I just accept that a certain proportion of the commentors or readers will assume I am not who I say I am, but rather a clone or handmaiden of LWM.
And I'm supposed to like you, and listen to you, in return for this.

It has been a most discouraging and disheartening demonstration of some particularly disturbing aspects of herd mentality.
So when I start making posts under your name, and they don't reflect well on you (and they won't friend, they won't) who ya gonna call? But your not worried about it-cause you know as well as I do it can't be done. But you hoped by volume and repetition to convince whatever suggestible readerrs there be that it is the case.

You know buckyl, it may sound funny, but you don't have to worry that much. How are they gonna keep it going? No matter how high-tech (and now that I think about it, empires actually lasted longer, long ago) things get, there are certain basic requirements for a policy of imperial bent.
One of them is a constant supply of young men, primed to do the dirty-work of Empire. And our work is, of course dirtier than ever. Although, wow, the British could kill softly with economic disruption, which is fatal to traditional cultures.
The Army Bush has now is almost entirely a "captive" army, trapped by the terms of their enlistments and threatened with stop-loss or worse.
On the quality of the latest recruits to the cause, well you can draw your own conclusions.
And that is only one of the manifold ways in which this effort is not sustainable.
Jesus, I feel for those poor bastards: One thing I knew at the beginning of the war was that those men would never, if it could be prevented, come home able to tell the tale of what happened.
Of course, there is the question of how much dust will be raised in the collapse, but then there was a problem with that on 9-11, too, if you remember.
Okay Bucky, there's some vintage Mooser. If it's just like LWM's posts, well I'm sorry, Iguess you'll have to put up with us both.
