Jesus Frickin Christ Playing Hopscotch on a Pogo Stick!

That sarcasm sounds suspiciously like LWM's writing style when he uses his Timberman handle.

-- casual_observer

Look man, are you fuckin' slow? Try to register yourself as me and post under my name! Do you get the point? Try it, be my guest, and write a post with my handle!

This is getting sad, sad. I'm sorry, but this is just sad!

@buckyl

"Buckyl, I knew your best self would show eventually,"

When may we expect yours?

Buckyl, believe me, I would never try to compete with a man who can make computers do the kind of tricks you can. I won't even try. Why should I when I can post under your name at my leisure, making people think you are as stupid as me. You won't like that Bucky, you won't like it. Just keep checking your "read other letter" file. Or waitaminute, should you be checking mine?

No Bucky, there's no competing with you.

Bucky, does there spirit of avarice reside in there with your political discretion? Post a comment under my name and I will send you 100 dollars, and remove my registration under your name.

If you don't post a comment under my handle well then, all bets are off.

@Casual Observer

You don't get what I'm driving at, do you? Does anybody else care to explain it to him and Bucky? I give up.

Monday, March 24, 2008 04:42 PM

All the Best

Well, I hope we've seen an example of your best, today Buckyl, cause it's quite a show.

Monday, March 24, 2008 04:46 PM

@WT

I checked my passport, and it doesn't say L.W.M.

William Timberman

Jeez Bill, I haven't got a passport! Wait, I'll go check my license. Gosh, I hope LWM has a motorcycle endorsement, if not I'm in trouble.

William, have you ever seen anything like this?

Monday, March 24, 2008 04:50 PM

A plea!

BTW, I use the same handle everywhere- guess I'm not part of the "cool" group...

Dave, the point is: you can't do it. Yes. you can have more than one account, no, you cannot have an account under a name already registered. Get it. Besides, do you want to get your analysis from guys who do that, and would youlike it if someone used your handle.

It can't be done. Now, what does that make out of Bucky's accusations?

If it can, please do it! Register and post under my name. I want to be your sockpuppet!

Monday, March 24, 2008 04:53 PM

@kitt

Thank you, my friend. I thought I was going nuts. Apparently bucky's proclivities are so well known they excite no opposition.

I'm always the last to know, like about my wife and the shooting.

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:06 PM

Sorry!

I'm sorry to go off, on that tangent, but it was diconcerting to see me listed as LWM's sock puppet. I was afraid of what LWM might do. There aren't many insults worse than that.

Okay, so buckyl throws around completely ridiculous, and "system-impossible" accusations. I won't let it bother me again, no matter who he says I, or anybody else, is. And then again, I've already been raised to LWM, and Bucky said I might be Timberman! What more could a man want? My day is made.

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:09 PM

If He was Me, and I were You

Than I would always agree: Forgive me for saying so, but I don't think that diminishes them in any way -- you are still one of the best, and most thoughtful contributors here.

In fact, it's what I would say if I were me. I'll have to ask buckyl!

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:21 PM

@buckyl

I think moser is classic lwm, but short of lwm ever belling honest about it we will never know.

This is getting way to existential for me. If I fell like throwing up, am I alive. Jesus this isn't Satire, it's Satre.

Wait till my wife finds out she's been sleeping with LWM all these years! LWM, how was it? Does she go? Nod-nod, wink-wink.

I sat here and typed all day, and I find out my existence is not my own. Oh well, things are tough all over.

I was just sitting here, waiting for Godot, anyway.

Bucky, who are you?

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:29 PM

@ bystander

I'd like to post as Derbig Mooser's wife,

Be my guest, bystander, and if I don't mind my saying so, that's big of me. Or would it be on-line bigamy?

You will have no difficulty registering an account as "Derbig Mooser's wife" . But I warn you, Shooter242 says you will find it unsatisfying.

I'm having a hell of a day! I don't exist and I can't satisfy my wife.

Buckyl has destroyed me, with one snap of his synapse. I hope it wasn't his last, but it looks close. Or maybe they do things different in Florida. I've heard people down South are more easygoing. and their heritage makes it easy to understand why I am LWM's literary slave.

Where's my Emancipation Proclamation?

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:33 PM

@buckyl

I do not dispute anything you say; but if we do not make America see what she has done, then she will do it again.

And you are just the guy to do it Buckyl. Why should we doubt anything you say?

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:36 PM

@bystander

Derbig likely would have responded differently,

Not on your tintype, baby. I know just how permeable I am.

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:41 PM

TILT!!

Who am I? One who has watched you destroy more threads on UT than Glenn can start.

buckyl

Cause nothing keeps a thread going like accusations of sock-puppetry, which the comment system itself does not permit!

Buckyl, you made a real friend today in me. My opinion of you, your reasoning, and your ability to communicate couldn't be higher. No, I don't think it could be.

Apart from the compliment of thinking I could be LWM, that is!

Monday, March 24, 2008 05:56 PM

@Bill Owen

I think that they want to take one last roll of the dice. Dubya or nothing!

All this tsuris, and now you incisively explicate my nightmare!

Yes Bill, and what wouldn't they give to avoid an accounting which a change of administrations, and parties, will bring? That, more than anything may be at the bottom of their Gotterdamarungophilia. If that's the word I want.
