I have a Question

about something I am not clear on. Has the War on Iraq been paid for (so far) or not. Were the "special appropriations" which Bush got every so often really just permission to borrow money? How much is the bill, with interest and does anybody have any plans to pay it?

The Israeli High Command

had it on the very best Scriptural authourity that God could be expected to produce variances in the space/time continuum that would redound to the success of the IDF.

He failed to come across, and the sun proceded across the sky in the same number of hours everyday that it always had.

Maybe Olmert didn't hold his arms up.

The Example

which Mr. Mansfeild sets before us to show the efficacy and utility of one-man rule is George Bush? George Frickin Jesus on a Popsicle Stick Bush?

Somebody needs to stand by with the strait-waistcoat.

Now I Think About It,

and it occurs to me I prbably would have done a little better if I had spent a little more time and money on my hair.

Of Course,

The scariest word in the American lexicon is "terrorist" followed by "muslim" and "Arab" and stuff.

Just following that we have "liberals" which are dangerously close to "libertines" and would you want your son to grow up like Tom Jones (either one) or Moll Flanders?

But just following those threats are "rights"! Am I the only one who has noticed the campaign to make our fundamental Constitutional rights into terrifying invitations to anarchism- wait, scratch the anarchism, I forgot that all negative political, religious or social roads lead to Mecca.

I mean, really, could the Democrats ever live down restoring "rights" to the American people? Why don't those Dems just supply a prayer mat to every school-age child.

Don't you know Miranda was a Muslim?

I've got it!

Here we go:

'If you give them rights, they'll just do wrongs'!

"The first thing

I thought of was when Lincoln did exactly that during the Civil War - by suspending Habeas Corpus AND ignoring the Supreme Court when they ruled it invalid.

You do grasp the import of the "during the Civil War" part of that, don't you?

Jake, My Man,

I am absolutely entranced with your admiration of this Jesus fellow of who he can help us with our political and moral problems.

Would you have a link to his website, so I can study his rhetoric and positions? Will he be at any of the Republican or Democratic debates?

At the very least, does he publish a newsletter, wherein he can commenteth on current events?

I mean Jake, you know what I mean! So much political and moral advice sounds like it was written about 2000 years ago, and second or third hand at best. It also seems like it was translated from long-dead languages.

If this Jesus could turn up, in any media, and give us advice on our current situations, why, that would be "like mass helpful, man", as the young folks say.

You wouldn't leave me unshriven and unanealled, would ya?

"We all have opinions...

...about having opinions. How nice for us.

-- RealName

That's right, and some of us even, (O God, may I live to bear witness to this impudence!) send in comments. Some even have the unmitigated temerity to attach our 'real names' to them.

Where will it end, O Lord, where will it end.

Think of the consequences, O ye many handed derivatives; why, someday some person might even say "Peace is better than war, and war is not a sure thing"

Surely the mighty hand of the Lord will proscribe it, surely!

It is No Wonder

elite journalist hate bloogers; look at the conclusions of this blogger: The War is All Hilary's Fault!

I mean, we can't have ordinary people coming to conclusions like that, can we, ordinary peoples?

This must be one of those blogs Alter, et al can't stand.

Dear LWM:

Thanks so much for responding. I know about tinyurl, my problem was simply that I was not aware that text links are not permitted by this format.

You are, of course correct: if I can't text link, I should use tinyurl to make the cut-n-paste easier.

And I will, thanks, (cause to tell the truth, I had sorta' fergot about tinyurl)

Did you read the article? I bet Broder likes that particular Blogger, they're jus a regular folks, ya' know.

World War II was a leap in the dark?

Rick, after the elite business types invested so much money in re-building Germany's (Hitler's) armanents, in violation of the treaty, and the MSM, instead of reporting the facts about the policies and actions of the Nazis and presenting them as Germany's Saviours, and our Government would not recognise the threat these policies and actions represented to us and our way of life, why yes, by that time, when Germany had accomplihed most of it's "sensible" war aims, and we entered the war, yes, it was touch and go for a while.

Friday, May 11, 2007 09:38 AM

suspicious of the Clintons, but why does the Beltway Club hate them so?

I could tell you, but this is a family blog. The human family, that is, and Clinton did something, in the Holiest Precincts of our Holy City, that no human being (okay, no single human being, unless his vertebrial flexibility is etra-ordinary, it takes two to tangle) has ever done before. How evil was it? Well, answer me this: how many kids do you know named Onan? Huh?

The evil emanations from this singular act have had a malign infuence on the world. He trashed this world, and it wasn't his!

Wouldn't you hate someone who did that. Why just read the article I linked to, and you'll see how the Clenis started the Iraq war, and what is more, keeps us from leaving!
