Does this Cary Tennis person who writes for Salon think that a constant airing of all his problems and crises are really going to be helpful to him? I'm really sorry about his wife and all, but what the hell can we do about it?
...that Glenn's columns and commenters here are of a much higher caliber on subjects that I am interested in than almost anywhere else.
Semiodd
Just think, you could have stopped right there and been the better for it.
UPDATE III: The Chicago Tribune today published large excerpts from Klein's column, including the factually false parts.
And that was over a heartwarming little blurb telling us about Tancredo's charming preference for Mexican food.
Exhausted, no doubt, by her assiduous practice of cheerleading routines, she did not get the latest talking points on this topic.
Will she try to catch up with the current canards, or just let it go?
From now on I'll happily seek out quality waiting room magazines like Southern Living, Cat Fancy or Highlights before I open another Time magazine.
Yes I can see this as a graphic novel, with Joe "Goofus" Klein and Glenn "Gallant" Greenwald!
...this is the first stone of an avalanche of resistance and then accountability for the Bush regime.
...trying to pretend that anything said or done during Republican primary season has any more meaning than a pre-season football game!!
After the Republican convention, the lucky nominee gets a free, no-holds-barred, Media Moderation Make-over! Everything they said or did previously will be neatly excised from the discourse, and the mantle of Reagen and Eisenhower will descend from heaven and cloak those shoulders you could land a 747 on.
Every copy of Charlie Roses screed will turn out to be printed on flash paper. Poof! Gone!
And the most disgusting aspect is the way all the MSM reporters will adapt themselves to the Make-over, and start treating the Republican mental midget as if he was, well, I don't know...say, a Nobel Prize winner or Rhodes Scholar.
Mittler knows best, and no one, not even the big guys in Salt Lake City are gonna tell him what to do.

I would expect that Mitt Romney has taken oaths of obedience to the Mormon ecclisiastical hierarchy during his initiation in to the degrees of the Mormon priesthood. Are you saying Mr. Romney is a liar, and will break these oaths? That, sir, is a serious charge.
Perhaps a Mormon or ex-Mormon could clear this up for us. There's enough of them, anyway.
Be-bop-o's best line, ever!
Oh …… and BTW, I am a 65 yo white female. Perhaps your profiling machine needs a tune up. ☺ Cheers, Obvious Observer
I'm a three year old chestnut and bay gelding. I come with a trailer, three saddles (two Western and one English) and all tack. Let's get together for lunch. I'm a vegetarian, of course, but I don't care what you eat, as long as it isn't me, hah, hah, hah!
btw-I really don't want any response to my comment on this, these are my views and I Bethincary endorse this message
Beth, your courage is exemplary. You've got grit and pluck, too.
The reason I'm stuck on drugs and prison is because it is a subject which no one wants to touch and I'm determined to rub everyone's noses in it..
Thrasher
Gosh, I feel no need to avoid the subject! What'cha in for? How long? "Time off" for good behavior where you are? Which is in which one of our fine penal insitutions, exactly? ("fine penal institutions is a joke, it's probably not very nice)
And let me encourage you from personal experience: You are not "stuck on drugs" if you want to get off.
Wasn't the Cole in harbor when it was hit? Completely different security situation obtains there than at sea.
My dear LWM, could I beg you implore you, to read through your comments once or twice before posting. While I know, from reading your comments here and at Orcinus we might agree on many things, I find many of your comments to be completely undecipherable. Combined with your penchant for responding to any queries with an immediate insult doesn't make things any easier.
Comments work best when substantiation and reasoning are not combined with insults, heavy irony and sarcasm. Since you seem to have plenty of one, why use the other? See what I mean, bubele?
Anyway: Let me ask you one: What are you willing to sacrifice to give up our dependence on foreign oil?
Me, I would be more than willing to give up the 4,000 dead American soldiers, and the uncountable number of injured. I could live without the death and destruction toll on the Iraqui side, too. I have no problem sacrificing the use of torture to energy independence, too.
Last of all, I would happily give up the incredible monetary debt associated with the US War ON Iraq, if doing so could lead to energy independence.
I'd even be willing, and I am serious about this, to give up the destruction of our volunteer Army, and the possibility of a draft, if that could help lead to energy independence.
I'm not kidding, I will gladly give these things up, and I firmly believe by making these sacrifices, we will move much closer to energy independence.
The VTR 1000 (Superhawk), the SS900 (Supersport) and the VFR 750 (Interceptor) they will have to pry out of my cold dead hands. And the Duc gets about 45mpg anyway.
left out one thing! I would be happy, ecstatic, even, to give up the ridiculous anti-Muslim bigotry which has become the common currency of our foreign-policy debate, if doing so will help us to attain energy independence. And frankly, I think it will!
...that our comfortable way of life and formerly high standard of living is part of the reason/problem.
LWM
Then just say that. Or do you take a certain delight in being misunderstood?
