but strippers, escorts, or prostitutes are all human beings. They all have the right to say "No" at their own choosing. No one gets to make that choice for them. When strippers, escorts, or prostitutes are forced to have sex, it is still rape.
We will probably never know the particulars of the Duke case for several reasons, not least among them being that the occupation of the young woman makes it impossible for most people to view the events dispassionately.
However, Ben Dover's attitude toward women who make their livings on the fringes, makes me wonder if he would take "No" so easily.
Tell me Ben, would you like to see all strippers put in a bag with a rock and thrown in the river -- similar to what you would like to see done with the cat in Cary's most recent thread?
Even strippers get to say "No" Benjie O'Minnow. Get over it. What'd you do? Grab at the T-back, like a desperate child? Maybe they were indeed smart enough to see you coming.
Everyone here can recognize you Minnow. We see you for who you really are.
However, unlike some folks in another thread, I will be kind enough not to fling a diagnosis at you.
Let's just say that I am able to spot your "type" now, and from the safe distance of the internet, I can laugh. However, if I knew you in real life, I would be very very careful in that I would take a wide berth of you -- as I do of all your kind.
It is not you who wants to drown the cats. That dubious distinction belongs to RealName.
So just what would you like to do to strippers? Please be as graphic as possible.
Even though he wants to drown cats, he at least offers some critique of libertarianism.
And he does write better than Benji O'Minnow.
Hmm. But how did I get him mixed up with Benji O'Minnow. There must be some similarity I have not yet grasped.
Ah well. A woman's reach must exceed her grasp or what's a heaven for?
Just thinking aloud here . . .
Anonymous, I have not paid enough attention to Benji to be aware of the finer points he brings up. I should look through some of his old posts and see if I can come up with something interesting. There could be some real gems.
I once did a bit of research on strippers. They do indeed live lives that are difficult sometimes, but to most of them that I have spoken with, it's just a job. I think it is utterly silly to try to pigeonhole people based upon their work.
You know why? I once had a job helping people find their "proper" work. Most of them had taken all kinds of personality tests to find our what they were suited for, but ultimately choosing work ended up being the result of lots of practical considerations. Not a lot of it had to do with deep soul searching -- even for artists.
One of the best truest country songs is "Take This Job and Shove It."
Most of us are just working for the man/woman to pay the bills. Stripping pays better than fast food, working in a convenience store, or even being an educational assistant in an elementary school. That last usually requires some college. That is rather appalling, isn't it?
Another thing, stripping cannot be outsourced. However, the downside is that strippers cannot exactly use it to improve their resumes. Strippers end up in a trap similar to that of excons. How on earth do they explain what they have been doing for ten years if all they do is strip? With aging, "it all falls apart in the end." Unlike the nice position of star athletes who break down physically, strippers will get neither understanding or respect if they choose to move toward more mainstream occupations.
Try to keep up here. We have already moved from the Duke case to your own personal pysche.
I understand from your previous posts that you hate fat women and cat ladies and strippers. I guess your idea of hell would be to be stuck in a strip club with a bunch of fat cat lady strippers who were telling you No! No! No!
Poor Benji. You sure do know a lot about strippers. Give us your stats on how many are attending college. By that I mean, cite a source. If you are going to fling numbers around, you should have some evidence.
Do you really think you are ugly? Where did this self esteem problem you have come from?
I'll bet anything that you thought you were ugly long before any strippers laughed at you.
Grade school can be such a bitch! Really! You should get over the teasing and bullying that people put you through back then. Maybe get a bit of therapy.
I suggest you choose a female therapist. Only then will you be likely to overcome some of your issues. Pick someone familiar with Lacan.
