And further more my little chickadee,
[Read the article: I hate my cat!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I actually knew a man who died of toxoplasmosis. He was a meter reader for a gas company and was not around any cats or sandboxes. His doctors speculated that he got the disease from touching bird shit while he was reading meters.
About sandboxes, I have two words for you: Sandbox covers.

You must be a Republican chickadee, or else
[Read the article: I hate my cat!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]your literacy skills must be on par with Bush. You seem to think repeating a lie makes it so. Nowhere in anything I have posted in this thread or any other thread here have I said anything against people posting anonymously. Why are you so strangely sensitive on that point?
Maybe you just don't understand the difference between anonymous and pseudonymous. You keep going back and forth, so to speak. LOL! Soooo transparent!
Before you reply again, why don't you try reading what I have posted. If that is too hard for you, begin with "My Pet Goat."

Here is a link how bird feces spreads disease to humans:
[Read the article: I hate my cat!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]http://www.azwns.com/Healthrisk.htm
It is from a site about controlling bird pests to prevent disease.
The simple truth is that you, chickadee (and the "troll" who accompanies you) are not the least bit interested in helping the LW find a solution for the cat that allows the LW to keep the cat, make the cat into a good pet, and maybe even come to love the cat.
This thread is full of stories about people who came to love their aggressive or irritating pets and some who actually learned how to improve the pet's behavior.
You and your buddy, who is sooo very much like you have (has) only one solution repeated like a mantra over and over which is, effectively, "Kill the cat!"
I happen to live in a neighborhood where many people let their cats run free. They also let their rabbits run free. Some, of whom I don't approve, let their dogs run free with not so much as a leash. Since it is a low crime area, their kids also run free. You know something strange? Most people and animals here seem pretty happy.
Is it PERFECT. No. But it's not bad.
The simple truth is that you (and your joined-at-the-hip buddy) are birdlovers and not cat lovers. Go back to the LW's letter to Cary. The LW did not ask "How can I keep my cat from killing birds?" That is not the subject of this thread. The subject is the LW's cat.
You have your own particular agenda and you do not have the LW's interests at heart at all. Instead, you want to make the world do your social engineering via killing.
Others at least are sensitive enough to the issue to want "euthanasia" only as a last resort.
You know, I live in a death penalty state. They do social engineering via lethal injection. You would probably approve.

To arnstein:
[Read the article: District attorney won't take gang rape case]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You said: "Considering that the DA is a woman, and considering that she has worked to prosecute sexual assault crimes, isn't it possible that Miss Carr knows what she is doing? Isn't it very probable that she enjoys putting rapists behind bars?"
Not necessarily. It is just as likely that she merely enjoys having a good conviction rate. I used to work as a victim advocate and, even among our group, local values and politics played a role. Some people didn't want to see spousal abusers prosecuted because they wanted to see the local Mormon bishop have the power in such instances. The fear was that prosecutions might lead to family breakup and the heirarchical system of the faith was more important than prosecuting that particular crime.
Also, attorneys tend to work both sides of the law in their careers. Those who prosecute may later be defense attorneys.
My hunch is that either the victim is seen as vulnerable or that the would-be accused are somehow important to the college or the community.
Don't forget that who you are matters. O.J. was aquitted.

Libby was convicted of perjury.
[Read the article: Veterans group comes out in favor of antiwar vet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To my mind whether Plame was covert or not is beside the point.
Fitzgerald's emphasis now on Plame being covert is about how Libby's perjury injured the original investigation. Fitzgerald is in sentencing mode now after having attained his conviction.
To my mind, there is a lot of difference between a perjury case and a matter of free speech. This current case raises the question of free speech rights for a soldier who is no longer functioning as a soldier. Does he give up his right to free speech? I wonder if it can be argued that his wearing a portion of a uniform, is a way of indentifying himself as a veteran who opposes the war. Think of it as a complete sentence rather than a fragment. The hat he wore at the Gonzales questioning is one part of a sentence. The sign he held up is another part. Together they equal a politcal statement and thus are protected speech.

Well Anonymous, if the shoe fits.
[Read the article: I hate my cat!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]BTW, I would never call myself a leftie. I am a classical liberal via libertarianism and a social progressive via single mother poverty.
More to the point, in the 12:28 thread you claim you said: "I don't care what you do about this cat. Put up with it or put it down."
In other words, you don't care. Your own words. So why chime in if you don't care about the LW or the LW's cat or the advice offered by others here who do care about the cat? You seem mainly concerned about your property rights.
Unless you have some reason to believe the LW is your neighbor, your point is?
