"Bushies" is from a loyal Bushie

nbm nbm writes:

But I have some sympathy about the warning to not call the administration "the Bushies". On most of the political sites I visit, others much more than here (thinking particularly of DailyKos), one does, in fact, get used to seeing commenters who never spell the word Republican correctly and have all manner of 'cute' names for Bush & Co. I try to resist that, just as I try to resist other marketing and propaganda tricks. It is beneath us. For once Shooter has a point.

But the term "loyal Bushie" comes from an email by Kyle Sampson (http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/002784.php)

I think it's fair game to use the term as shorthand for pointing out that "loyal Bushies" will ALWAYS put the good of the Bush administration above the good of the country.

It's kind of like using "heckofa job" as shorthand for Bush administration incompetence.

Just sayin...........

That's really all it takes.....

he covered what the White House does, not just what it says

Seems so simple. And yet...........

Right on as usual Glenn...

Thank you for doing the nasty work of actually reading and commenting on these inner party members.

I appreciate the work you do here in the same way I appreciate the guy who comes and pumps out the septic tank. It's something that needs to be done, but I sure as hell don't have any desire to do it myself. (I think there's a compliment in there someplace!)

I am a non-drinking alcoholic who hasn't touched a drop in almost twenty years. But I remember when I used to spend the majority of my free time in bars, it always seemed to me that I wasn't that abnormal and that everybody must drink as much as me. I was "inside the skin" as an ex-girlfriend used to say.

That's what these inner-party mini-tru types remind me of. They are so wrapped up in their own little world they don't have clue one as to just how irrelevent they are to the vast, vast majority of Americans.

The quicker we can grow new media outlets like Salon, TPM and other similar entities the better off America will be.

Thanks again for all you do. I imagine you must feel like taking a shower after dealing with this slime........

Ahhh! Bush's poodle................

Full of fun and laughs until the end.

But really, Blair is just mimicking his handlers in Washington, just as he has done for the last 6 years. Here's Bush from a mid-January interview on CBS:

Asked if he thinks he owes the Iraqi people an apology for not doing a better job, Bush says, "Well I don’t, that we didn’t do a better job or they didn’t do a better job?"

"Well, that the United States did not do a better job in providing security after the invasion?" Pelley clarifies.

"Not at all. I think I am proud of the efforts we did. We liberated that country from a tyrant. I think the Iraqi people owe the American people a huge debt of gratitude. That’s the problem here in America. They wonder whether or not there is a gratitude level that’s significant enough in Iraq," Bush replies.

The more things change................

bethincary, on the contrary

Wonder if GOP Pundits Realize....

That thier careers may be over in another 18 months.
will they change thier names? Change publication titles?

By 18 months I assume you mean when the Dems take the WH. First of all that's not an assumption I for one am willing to accept yet, especially if they continue to stab their activist base in the back.

But even if they do win, all that means is that "journalists" like Allen, Nedra Pickler, John Solomon, Michael Gordon, etc.., their elitist pundit counterparts like Joe Klein, Howie Fineman, Howie Kurtz, David Broder, etc.., and the "professional" propagandists employed by the Republican Party and their associated think tanks will all just go from this:

Priority 1: Support conservatives (Rep or Dem)

Priority 2: Destroy progressives/liberals (Dem or Rep)

to this:

Priority 1: Destroy progressives/liberals (Dem or Rep)

Priority 2: Support conservatives (Rep or Dem)

It's really very predictable. And sad.

Sighhhhh.........

I have often wondered about this myself

And they simply do not believe in the basic constitutional values which have defined the country since its inception, nor do they believe in the rule of law (hence the virtual consensus that convicted felon Lewis Libby should be pardoned). What else do they need to embrace in order to eliminate all doubts about that?

I'm especially curious about the 28-30% that still support this miserable failure.

If W was captured live and on camera buggering a toddler there is not a doubt in my mind that this 30% would instantly believe forced anal rape of a two year old was perfectly fine*

* As long as it was done by a Republican of course.

Scary, Scary stuff

And of course the vast majority of Americans don't even realize it's happening.

But I bet you 85% of Americans could tell you who won American Idol.

I stand in awe that it all slipped away so easily and silently.

Fucking amazing........

There are people who have faith that, at the very least, the leadership in America would not intentionally do harm to the country and its people. I harbor no such faith.
