Obama has turned out to be such a disappointment. He swiped fiscally

responsible Clinton policy during the campaign. Now he turns back the clock seventy years and gives us a Keynesian hog fest to stimulate the economy. He throws money at a corrupt industry with no strings attached. He refuses to appoint competent managers in banks we already own. And he runs the deficit off the scale, another gift to the robber barons through interest payments on the national debt.

Government's role in running the economy was mapped precisely by Bill Clinton when he was a leading intellectual in the DLC and PPI. He transformed Kenesianism into neo liberalism. He refined it in office, and it had a spectacular success, for obvious resons.

None of that matters now. The public barely saw the Clintons' successes and didn't bother with the details. They're such total dingbats, they didn't notice that Obama promised to use neo liberal policy. Even if they had, with an attention span of 3 minutes, they wouldn't remember. Obama could break every promise he's ever made, and the public would cheer like the Super Bowl on meth.

I see we're still into mental masturbation instead doing anything constructive.

Join A New Way Forward and make a difference. Pressure the dems to redo the stimulus along fiscally responsible, neo liberal lines. Do something. But I forget, this is the general public: selfish, lazy, and unconcerned with the millions loosing their jobs and homes.

The bailouts are only part of the problem. The stimulus is another huge waste.

The government is buried in debt. But let's not use fiscally responsible Clinton policy, which has worked spectacularly for obvious reasons. No. Let's use a Keynesian hog fest from 70 years ago, with useless tax cuts and pork. It'll channel yet more cash into Wall Street from interest payments on the natinal debt.

The public need to wake up and quickly. People need to join the New Way Forward demonstrations tomorrow at 2PM EST. They're happening all over the country.

The stimulus is a huge disappointment. Sure deficits are ok, but this one

is so massive, it could actually make things worse. It's full of tax cuts, which won't help the economy, and pork, which is the very least bang for the buck. The market will have a tough time rcovering when the government is so deeply in debt. And just so you know, WE'LL HAVE TO PAY INTEREST ON ALL THAT DEBT!!!

After having swiped the Clinton agenda from day one, Obama might have used neo liberal policy to get us out of this mess. Tax cuts should be targetted to support American industry, say a green car from detroit. Instead of pork, strategic investment would create infrastructure to make the economy more efficient.

It's sad that the public barely noticed the Clintons' successes and didn't bother with the details. So now Obama and the dems are going back to wasteful, outdated policy. That they've put forward this trash is terrifying. That ya'll support it is typical of the laziness and ignorance of the general public.

fightthetheocracy, the left does a bit, true. They do a lot more of

sitting on their a-ses and acting self righteous. Liberal churches do the most work.

Let's not forget. It was the far left that ignored third grade arithmetic, voted for Nader, and put Bush in office.

I'm sorry. I didn't know there's a theocracy in this country. There are religious people and creepizoid fundys all over the place. But lumping them together seems counterproductive. And a theocracy probably would have shutdown rival religions by now.

Fighting scapegoats is an old tactic of the far left to avoid having to take action. Formerly it was the corporation that was omnipotent evil, which relieved the audience from the hard work of liberation.

Kamiya's inconsistencies are extremely important to the American left.

They are more excuses to ignore the central messages of christianity: to serve the poor and the oppressed, replenish the earth, and actually work for justice. Obsessing on irrellevant flaws and mental masturbation is more fun than behaving responsibly.

Original article: R.I.P. Women's Movement

Feminism is long past its shelf life. Fighting for equal rights and defending women

against violence was important work. But Western women today are the most priviledged group on Earth. That they want more is another example of the extreme selfishness of mass culture.

It seems time for a bit of self criticism from feminists. The gay movement and black movement are self aware. When are women going to catch up? For instance, blaming war and ecological catastrophe on men is too absurd. Women contribute big time by demanding goods and services from men. Or maybe we've never heard of women looking for a 'good provider'.

Please give the oppressed minority schtick a rest and own up to your faults as a people.

Original article: Is Obama wrong?

Exactly what are in these trash securities? Are the bad mortgages? If so,

they can be fixed, re-written with interest rates and payments set for the borrowers, with a small profit for DC. If they are losses of the financial barons, they should be dumped.

The other main issue is the stimulus. Reid and Pulosi promised no pork, then stuffed it with tax cuts, pork, and deficit spending. The dems, meanwhile, sit on their hands, and an army of dingbat pundits talk of non issues. The stimulus needs to be re-done using Clinton economic policy. And the democrats need to work on the massive battles for practical reform of the economy.
