The party has been empty for decades, ever since Reagan scooped up the hick demographic. It used to be the business party, full of greedy people who were at least educated. My old dad was one. You could talk and reason with them. Not this rube set. They gots no larnin', especially about things they claim to know. So the 'Christian' right has born false witness nonstop against anyone they don't particularly like: the Clintons, minorities, etc... They want prayer in schools, but never read Matt 6:5-6. The list goes on forever.
The money crowd, like Greenspan, have pushed the free market fantasy nonstop. Now they want us to believe they didn't notice the mountains of history and evidence of the mixed econmy. Don't believe it. Unlike their voting block, the elite actually know something. But they are liars without conscience.
to have time to argue for taxing the rich. We must make the argument now, forcefully and repeatedly.
Under Bush, billions of public dollars have disappeared into private accounts. And it's a tribute to the commercial media's propaganda machine that the public let it happen, hypnotized by small government, the free market, and other fantasies.
Liberals must immediately start a massive pr campaign to debunk the conservative 'economics' that the public has swallowed hook, line, and sinker; and to explain true fiscal responsibilty, smart and lean government, and the strategic investments of Clintonomics.
Get on that. Would you please?
putting out the usual digs. Feminism has gotten to be too gross. The arrogance of it creeps me right out. It's gotten to be worse than seperatist gays and lesbians. At least they just drop out without trashing the other sex all over the media.
A nice liberal woman at work wanted Senator Caroline. Why? Because she's a woman. That's qualification enough.
I was a feminist many years ago, until noticing that women already own the world. They use men's need for sex to control them. And they have it easier than any of us. They now have the right to serve in the military, but only if they want to. Talk about special rights. Or go to any mall during working hours and see who is out en mass pondering the merchandise.
If there's one good thing about having to suffer the hatred and discrimination against gay men, at least I'm free to be myself without having to please a lord and master.
They slandered the Clintons, put Bush in office twice, and now they're going to destroy the Obama presidency. It'll be easy as pie because Americans have been spoon fed the bull---- for decades. They're hopelessly ignorant and will believe anything the MSM tell them.
The only way to stop it is for liberals to finance their own high quality network. I've said it for 10 years. Wake up.
We might salvage the current situation, but only if liberals across the land speak out loudly, forcefully, and repeatedly. We can't expect Obama to make the case alone. WE ALL MUST MAKE THE CASE!
The very title of the article is offensive. If it had been Are Women Necessary?, salon would be drowning in sexist charges. In fact, you can't say a word of criticism about any woman without that charge being made. Remember, Hillary's defeat was all about sexism.
Williams and freinds go on and on about men's faults, as if we're all a single stereotype, but not a word about any woman's fault. If you don't notice the huge, decades old double standard in feminism, fine. But I don't need freinds like Williams to list my faults. Let her count her own.
And by the way, I'm not the party line repeater here. You're the one falling in with the feminist party line. If you haven't noticed its conformist, unchalanegable drone for the last 30 years, there's nothing more to be said.
grossly conservative for the last 30 years. They've chanted free market fantasies nonstop with no mention of the real system, the mixed economy. 'Liberal' news hosts don't argue the excellence of liberal positions but confine themselves to shallow insults and empty rhetoric. And the number of on-air conservatives is off the scale.
Through it all, Koppelman is an obedient lap dog. He's probably sucking up to the publishing elite for a juicier gig.
Just out of the gate, the dems put contraception in the stimulous package, a stupid mistake that Hillary would never have made. Now they're doing the darling baby lambkin routine. Forget it. Obama needs to unleash his attack dogs now. The repubs are so vulnerable. It makes my mouth water. If the party gives in to this scorched earth policy, I'll join the Torries and have done with it.
It goes like this. No, Senator Jones is not one to hump on woodland animals. I will defend him always against the f;ase charge that he keeps a pen full of defensless squirells and bunnys on which he pratices unspeakable acts.
Likewise, Williams lays out a long list of men's supposed faults. Then tell's us in 3 words that they're really ok.
The smear job could hardly be more obvious. It seems to have worked, though, judging by all the posts that took her seriously.
I like the way you twist things. You were the one who accused me of being a party liner, a standard trick of republicans who accuse others of what they are doing. I pointed out that your views are standard feminism. You claim I make no arguments. You must not have noticed the facts in my first post about women using sex for control and having massive leisure and priviledge. You seem to rely on name calling. That's fine. It's another of the endless rhetorical tricks the public has learned from the media. Have fun with it.
