The irrelevance of truth to shooter242

As for "politicization" of the military that's another absurdity. Do you expect the military to work with hostile blogs?

Yet it is perfectly acceptable for the military to funnel blatant falsehoods to 'friendly' outlets so it can be disseminated as "fact"?

Thank you for clarifying once and for all how little truth and honesty mean to you.

Now crawl back to your cess-pool and stay there.

Original article: Col. Boylan's denial

You have it backwards, etyfreak

Glenn, you've already made up your mind about Boylan and Petraeus, now you're just trying to fit the emails into your pre-framed story.

Glenn has amply documented the politicization of the military, of which both the General and his PAO are emblematic of. The fact the Colonel chooses to broadcast this fact is no fault of Glenn's and merely reinforces the underlying point.

You deserve a pat on the head, shooter242

Though Glenn may feel at home with someone that thinks putting on a skit about assassinating Bush is funny,

As opposed to your worship of Captain Codpiece? I'll wager you have the action figure as well.

Here's hoping someone competent gets the Colonel's slot.

Or at least someone who can speak without mangling the english language.

As for Colonel Boylan? Here's hoping he get's help, or get's a life. At the very least he should get his security clearance pulled.

What ever will shooter242 do...

...when he wakes up one day and realizes what a nightmare he's helped create.

Of course knowing him as we do, this won't hit until he's standing in front of the firing squad.

As usual, shooter242 has it backwards:

I still can't understand why innocent people should be allowed to sacrificed to protect YOUR point of view.

A question you should ask yourself, shooter242. How many innocent men, women and children are you prepared to violated, maimed and destroyed simply for your personal sense of security?

Don't bother answering. There's no way you can redeem yourself anymore.

You realize shooter242 won't understand word one, Jordan.

You'd have an easier time teaching an earwig quantum physics.

How they shoot themselves in the foot.

Clearly, we're at the point where a belief in due process, press freedoms and basic restraints on government and military power demonstrate a hatred for America and its freedoms.

I wonder what these many faux Rambo/Jack Bauers will do when they realize the system they helped destroy was the only thing protecting them from a stay in Camp X-Ray?

Besides blame it all on the Clintons, of course.

You have no time left, shooter242

Wait a minute

You don't have 'a minute' left. They know where you are. Your life is in danger. Get yourself off-line and off the grid before its too late.

Original article: The Ron Paul phenomenon

Well, we haven't had this kind of vehemence in awhile.

At least not since some idiot accused Glenn of "sock-puppetry".

Look, Ron managed to do something noteworthy in the past couple days that makes him look more "interesting", but not necessarily "electable". Right now he's adding some spice to what is an otherwise anemic and embarrassing mess of an election cycle. Whether he does more than this ultimately is a question that will be settled through the Primaries, never mind what comes afterwards.

Is he an imperfect candidate? That goes without saying.

Is he necessarily any worse than the rest on the GOP side? That's a matter of individual opinion.

Is he someone we want in the White House? That's up to the American voters to decide.

At least he's generating discussion here if nothing else.

Original article: The Ron Paul phenomenon

A fair point, AnnieW

he could be worse, he could be Guiliani, the hero of 9/11, mainly I guess, because he was physically there

So say we all. Were it not for a quirk in my morning schedule that day, I would have been in the Towers when those planes hit. I presently work a few blocks away from Ground Zero.

Guiliani, a "hero"? Not in my book.

I'm still agnostic on Ron Paul, but yes he could easily prove as bad if not worse than he presently looks.

A study of blithe sociopathic tendency: shooter242

This is the only place I know, where less death is a subject of derision.

You will note that while the blithe sociopath makes much of the questionable premise of "less death", s/he nevertheless remains true to his deviance by not questioning the underlying causes of this supposed reduction in US fatalities. S/he similarly fails to appreciate how the weak arguments s/he musters to justify this ongoing atrocity fail even the most basic test of consistency or reason. The reliance upon poll data, often long outdated, strongly suggests this particular subject has no individual identity stable enough to support his assertions and therefore resorts to a sort of pathological 'groupthink' to avoid such confrontations.

In short, this blithe sociopath from New Jersey is neither intellectually or emotionally equipped to comprehend s/he has lost all social relevance and can no longer be counted to act in a productive or intelligible manner. S/he cannot comprehend they have lost the argument, creditability, and their own self-identity.

Ultimately engaging this subject in actual conversation should be considered an amusing past-time, not unlike an easy game of So-Doku, allowing one to polish their arguments and critical thinking skills at no real cost save in time. Doubtless the sociopath themselves is sufficiently deluded that they will interpret this engagement as a 'recognition' of their relevance; this should not be a matter of concern given the admitted cowardice s/he has already voiced.

A study of authoritarian follower: nabalzbbfr (nee "anonymoose")

The American electorate never likes a sore loser, as you will learn to your great distress on 11/4/08 when Rudy Giuliani crushes Hillary and she becomes the epitome of that very term.

Note how this subject zeros in upon the most authoritarian-prone of the GOP's slate of candidates, speaking with such conviction that one could be forgiven thinking the election had already been decided. One can positively feel the blind adoration the subject doubtlessly feels at the prospect of their complete surrender to the authority figure.

But that, unsurprisingly, is par for the course with this one.

No hope of redemption now, eh?

The Democrats have failed again. Perhaps its time for the rest of us to take over.

At this point, I'm considering running against Schumer if that's what it takes.
