The insecure ground under shooter242's feet

Here's the WaPo article conceding Bush would have won even if the limited recounts went ahead. Keep in mind that under Florida election law only machine counts are valid.

Do you dispute that then-Vice President Al Gore in fact won the popular vote in 2000?

Do you dispute that the only reason George W Bush was declared the 'winner' of the election he technically lost was a narrow decision by the Supreme Court (whose reasoning is specious at best, self-serving at worst, and whose applicability is questionable) that halted the requested recounts and offered no remedy?

Do you dispute that many investigations since then have demonstrated serious questions about the reliability and security of machine counts?

Don't you agree the true mark of a "Uniter, not a Divider" would have been to concede he'd lost a close election, irregardless of what the Electoral College (which doesn't physically exist, btw) might have done?

Provide proof, shooter242

Translation: Yeah it's nasty and unfair and dishonest.... but I'm going to do it anyway, so there

Demonstrate where Mr. Greenwald has deliberately demeaned or advocated violence against anyone.

Provide proof, or stand proven a liar and coward.

The ultimate lie of shooter242's sad life

Congratulations Glenn, you've just sunk to the level of terrorists demanding their own pound of flesh for slights real or imagined.

Who's head has Mr. Greenwald demanded? Which ethnic group has he called for the extermination of? What religion has he declared a Crusade against?

If you wish to demonstrate your sincerity on this issue, answer these questions. Otherwise you're once again demonstrated as nothing but a liar and fraud.

Consider it a last chance at redemption.

Please explain to me why this clown Klein is still considered 'intelligent'?

Please? Someone? Anyone?

Please?

Shooter242 revels in his irrelevance.

Serious, credible, gravitas, who cares?

Well certainly you never did. You haven't made a serious argument about anything since you first poked your nose into these forums.

nabalzbbfr is a thread late (and a few cards short of a deck)

Pastor Hagee is a by-the-book Christian. Senator Lieberman is a righteous man. So are President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Words fail. You simply can't argue with delusion this dense, can you?

God speaks loudly and clearly. Too bad if His Message offends your PC sensibilities.

Actually I agree more with author Steve Gerber, who demonstrated (quite convincingly) that God has actually been on a nonstop bender since 1939.

Although British writer Garth Ennis also made a good case that God is so irresponsible he has just up and left his Throne behind, leaving no forwarding address and no-one in charge upstairs.

You mock God at your own peril. The cock has crowed twice, first on September 11, 2001 and then on August 29, 2005. Beware the third cock crow, coming very soon.

Coming for you and your 'God', I'd almost say that's compliment (if you weren't such a contemptable mess, that is).

Incidentially, the dissection of your boy Hagee and the Senator are in the previous thread. Do get with the program, eh?

Friday, July 27, 2007 07:27 AM

So what is it these clowns are supposed to be "serious" about?

No, really. I'm genuinely interested to know what they think they have sufficient creditability to speak about with any degree of authority.

Gently there, Paul

shooter interprets people ignoring him as meaning something beyond people ignoring him.

We're dealing with an egocentric mechanism with which shooter242 places himself at the Center Of All Things. The poor dear has admitted he's still traumatized by 9/11 (despite being on the other side of the Hudson River at the time), so naturally he's going to overcompensate.

Then again, if he's so anxious to get beat up, who are we to deny him his little kicks?

Saturday, July 28, 2007 08:45 AM

But will they take ownership of the consequences of their "centrism"?

Say the Bush Administration goes ahead and pushes into a military confrontation with Iran - as these self-styled media stars advocate - which then turns into a disaster as every level for the United States.

Who here thinks Matthews, Hayes or any of their ilk will own up to it?

Saturday, July 28, 2007 06:07 PM

And nabalzbbfr proves himself a bottom-feeder.

The smart way to negotiate with them, which President Bush advocates

Don't you have a prayer meeting to attend?

Saturday, July 28, 2007 06:16 PM

You realize you've just advocated armed revolution, shooter242?

Maybe you should consider that in some parts of the world espousing those beliefs can get you sentenced to death. But not here.

That's correct.

You may think those "truths are self-evident" but one has to fight for the right to practice those beliefs. Those rights are not given, they are won.

Actually they're enshrined in the US Bill of Rights, and so are given to all US citizens. Enforcement and exercise has never been perfect, but they're remained unchanged and unchallenged.

Taking your comment to the logical end, you've just stated that the citizens of the United States should become a violent mob and enter into permanent revolution to 'win' those rights from...well, you really aren't clear there. Just another example of your all-too-obvious paranoia.

Sad really.

Saturday, July 28, 2007 06:33 PM

And nabalzbbfr digs himself even deeper.

And our brave troops are fighting and dying every day in Iraq and Afghanistan to insure that we preserve these rights...

Keep digging. At the rate you're going, you'll have to speak Chinese by this time next week.

Note that I don't believe for a moment you actually believe this dross. Nobody can be that delusional and remain coherent.

Seixon is getting lost in forest and running into trees

What is this, other than a strawman?

No, its you loosing sight of the core of this mess, to whit: the Bush Administration has been engaging (and likely still is) in surveillance activities in ways expressly prohibited by US Statute.

That is the core issue, something Glenn goes to pains to point out time and again.

But if you want to argue about the bark one particular tree, go ahead. The rest of us will keep our eyes on the forest.
