I'm sure you do, just like the Democrats crowed after the convictions of Iran-Contra. With historical perspective though, one has to wonder why Democrats from that era thought it was a good idea to support a communist regime. In fact, history has proven those prosecuted as doing the right thing, in the face of liberal fatuousness.
Actually those "right things" were being pursued contra to US law. And keep in mind the first part of the affair's title.
It comes down to the following: the Reagan Administration was breaking the law and selling arms to an avowed 'enemy' in the Middle East to support an illegal war in Central America.
So tell us, shooter, which is more reprehensible? Propping up a theocratic regime that sponsors terrorism, funding death squads with the proceeds of illegal arms sales, or ignoring the elected government of the United States?
I shalln't hold my breath for a serious answer.

Unless I'm misreading this, Judge Walton is stating Libby's sentence can't be commuted as the President directed because "Supervised Release" can only happen after the convicted actually served a term of imprisonment.
As consequence, the commutation order is in conflict with 18 U.S.C. Section 3583(a). The Judge is therefore giving the parties until July 9th to submit their opinions on this.
Looks like this isn't entirely over.
Anyone read anything different?
because I understand the addled state of mind BDS inflicts upon it's victim.
Says the poster child for said mental disability.
Pity there's no medication for it.
Prattle on with your fellow inmates, but please do it without me.
Does this mean you're finally taking the hint and shoving off?
For the love of gawd, how stupid are you, shooter?
He's from New Jersey. Enough said.
It truly is, the best of all possible outcomes. Well, at least for us anyway. That's all that counts, right?
Are you saying you actually care about the outcomes of US policies upon others?
That'd be a first.

If you didn't know better, it sounds like the Iraqi central government is about to unravel.
Kinda defeats the purpose of this Surge and occupation, doesn't it?
"Unfortunately, it's the crossroads where Katrina meets Rita...I always knew I was against same-sex unions."
Words fail.
Was Bush within his rights as President?
About what, exactly?
That's fine for the sycophants here, but the beginning of the end for real world credibility.
A fair point perhaps...if only Glenn didn't back up his every assertion with ample documentation from outside sources.
Of course, given shooter242 suffers from Bush Derangement Syndrome, we can't expect him to assimilate such things. Poor lad probably doesn't even realize he himself has no credibility to begin with.
Is that you, annonymoose?
it is hard to see how this kind of story doesn't cut both ways, right?
Only if you overlook the hate-fest against the Clinton Administration. But then, you're not really interested in history, are you?
The Tillman family are bunch of ungrateful Sheehanites.
Words simply fail. I can't help but wonder if nabalzbbfr is George W Bush himself.
He's an emotionally disturbed individual who still hasn't recovered from 9/11 (despite being safely out of the danger zone, unlike those of us who live in the City and work near Ground Zero).
He's also from New Jersey, which pretty much says it all.
He's merely expressing his opinion of the matter based upon his worldview.
Admittedly, he's also admitted he's an emotional basketcase who hasn't really recovered from 9/11 (even though he as nowhere near Ground Zero) and likely doesn't even realize how idiotic he sounds every time he spouts off here. And like all uncommitted lunatics everywhere, he doesn't see anything wrong with what he says or does, no matter how morally reprehensible or beyond the pale of civil society.
Now it is true that the president can claim executive privilege, and in the case of Miers, doubtless attorney-client privilege as well, but Miers has to appear before the committee to claim those privileges with respect to individual questions.
Wasn't it ruled back during the Clinton impeachment nonsense that government lawyers cannot claim attorney-client privilege?
What will you call a Congress that can't get out of Iraq either
The Democratic Caucus has passed measure after measure calling for everything from a mandated withdrawl to a time-line for withdrawl.
The Republican caucus has pulled fillibuster after fillibuster stopping these sensible measures.
The Republican sitting in the Oval Office presently has vetoed the one measure that reached his desk, and has promised to veto any others that arrive, and refuses to even discuss ending this increasingly senseless occupation.
Tell me I'm wrong on any of these points.
