Jan R and other deluded ones

Anyone who truly believes that Israel has treated her Arab minority(Israeli Arab citizens within the Green Line) well, will be greeted with giggles and rolling eyes, mainly from Israeli Jews. The Palestinians in the occupied territories have been treated just like the non-white natives were once treated by the S.African Apartheid regime, and often with far more violence and human rights abuse. As a former IDF officer who has witness the aforementioned first hand, I can only shake my head at the self delusion and voluntary self-deception of so many of my fellow Americans vis-a-vis Israel. As much as I despise all of the Arab regimes, I would be surprised if the Israeli Jews would be treated any worse than they have been treating their own minorities should they ever become a minority in the state of Israel-I doubt it's possible.

Stupid gimmick

The gas tax break is a stupid gimmick, gimmick being the key word in this scam to pander to voters. It gives the public the idea that the gasoline crisis can be solved by easy gimmicks instead of by a radically different, intelligent, progressive and comprehensive comprehensive new approach to energy consumption.

I'm with All Loomis

At least half of the US public would have been comfortable in Nazi Germany. There's a reason why Bush received roughly half of the vote in 2000 and 2004 and why after the last 8 years that included Iraq, WMDs that never existed, mission accomplished, Abu Grhaib, non-stop lies, deception, unprecedented corruption, trillions of dollars of debt, Katrina, Alberto Gonzales, Enron, the sub-prime mortgage catastrophy, illegal wire-tapping and I could go on for hours, McCain has a 50/50 chance of becoming the next president. This is the same public where a majority, or a sizable minority, depending on which poll you believe, believes that the universe was created in 6 days, that humans lived with the dinosaurs, that ignorance is honorable and that the rest of the world is despicable and immoral and doesn't deserve knowing. Bush, Cheney, Lieberman, Reid and their likes are products of that public.

Huge for us

I can already predict the Clinton speech after she was blown away in N. Carolina and won narrowly in Indiana:"I had a huge win today. I surpassed all expectations in N. Carloina, where we were never expected to win, and won Indiana against all odds. I have proved that I'm the best candidate to beat John McCain in the fall. I'm excited about the challenge and I will continue my campaign, and after we include the Florida and Michigan delegates, I will be the nominee".

Misleading headline

Cinton isn't closer to oblivion, she is finished. If she stays in this race for another couple of meaningless weeks, it would be only to weaken Obama in order to position herself for a 2012 presidential run. "Closer to oblivion" means she's close to the brink, but she isn't, she is across the brink, she has zero chance of securing the nomination, and the only discussion about her right now should be about why she didn't announce her withdrawal from the race last night or this morning.

Original article: What does Hillary want?

We all know what she wants

she wants to weaken Obama so McBush wins in November and the country gets a 3rd Bush term. Then she runs in 2012 as the 2nd coming FDR-the nation's savior. She will not concede at any point. She will take it to the Denver covention, and when Obama is officially declared the nominee in D, she'll claim that the nomination was stolen from her because of the FL and MI mess and will not endorse the ticket.

Not Edwards

I actually supported Edwards before he dropped out, but he shouldn't be on the ticket. He did very poorly in his debate with Cheney and I was actually disappointed in his performance this year. He can't deliver any states for Obama and would probably lose the debate with McBush's VP. No senator should be on the ticket, every one of them is badly needed in the senate, and 2 senators on the ticket would reduce the chance of victory. Ed Randell, Sam Nunn, Wesley Clark and Bill Richardson are probably the best bets.

Repulsive hypocrisy

Remember when Bill Clinton's battle cry was:if you play by the rules you should be rewarded, and if you don't, you shouldn't be rewarded? What kind of example would the DNC set if those who didn't play by the rules get rewarded for it? Clinton signed an agreement, along with all other candidates that FL and MI would not be seated because they broke the rules, and when she believed her nomination was only a formality, didn't give a damn about seating MI and FL. This woman is just awful, a disgrace not only to the Democratic party but to women everywhere. Let her take herself and her stupid letters to the GOP, where she and her profound hypocrisy and insincerity belong.

Hillary on the ticket

Obama is so smart, I'm sure he would rather play with a live scorpion than entertain any thought of offering the V.P spot to that awful woman. As a lifelong Democrat I'm offended that HRC is a Democrat, at least by name. Let her go to hell, meaning the GOP.

Why

did Hillary sign an agreement before the primaries along with all other candidates that the FL and MI delegations will not be seated and their votes will not count because they broke the rules? How can she claim now with a straight face that Obama is trying to keep the FL and MI votes from counting? This is so outrageous, she needs to be expelled from the party.

Those wonderful hard working white folks

have given us 2 terms of the worst president in US history. A candidate who claims she deserves the nomination because the demographic group that consistently ends up voting for the GOP candidate in the general, against their own interests, and then whine about how fucked they and will not vote for a non-white candidate, is pathetic and doesn't belong in the Democratic party. it's time for Clinton to stop pretending she's a Democrat.
