Open your eyes Bob In Pacifica

You must realize by now that characters like ShawnKKK, ProudTexasGirl, KateTex, Notorious W.E.S. and their likes are not Clinton supporters but Limbaugh trolls who post on this forum in order to yanks everybody's chain and get supporters of either candidate to be so mad at the other side that they sit out the general election or even vote for McCain. When you engage any of them, you are falling in their trap and help them. Realize that they and others like them troll on every liberal/progressive on-line forum in order to stir up anger and bitterness among Democratic voters. As a fellow progressive and fellow northern California resident, I hope that you wise up to those creeps don't do their despicable job for them.

Hillary supporters

That neocon bitch just called the other day for the nuclear annihilation of Iran lest Iran attacks Israel, which is by the way perfectly capable of defending herself. That would mean the killing of millions of innocent Iranian civilians who would have had no control or say over an Iranian attack on Israel. Such chilling murderous and pandering(to the Jewish vote) nonsense should have put her in the camp of the most unbalanced war mongering right wing lunatics, and disqualified her as a Democratic candidate, yet Clinton supporters dare whine about Rev. Wright, who has never called for the killing of anybody.

he's the best we have got

Obama is the best chance we've got to rejoin the family of nations rather than farther spiraling down toward the dark ages. As for Limbaugh trolls like ProudTexasSlut,, ShawnKKK or KateTexRacist-why don't you go play on the freeway and/or eat each other's dirty sanitary napkins, and leave everybody else alone.

Who, we learn from our mistakes?

Working class voters had many opportunities to learn from their mistakes. The reelected Reagan, they helped elect the first Bush in 1988, they voted for the present disaster of a president twice by large margins over the Democratic candidates, and all McCain has to do is keep repeating "gay marriage", "I'm a patriot" and "Bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran" and they'll vote for him in the fall, against their own interests and economic survival prospects. Why should people who chose to remain ignorant, who willingly fall prey to demagogues and charlatans, who often hold bigoted and racist views against people of color expect to receive any respect from others? regardless of two stolen elections, Bush wouldn't never have been president if it hadn't been for the working-class white vote. Indirectly, due to their ignorance, they gave us Iraq, a virtual police state, ten trillion dollar deficits, looming depression and everything else the last 8 years entail. We need to find a way to win elections without those people and stop pandering to them.

Original article: Obama: "I am outraged"

We are discussing Rev. Wright?

Who may be stating the truth with too much passion and anger, but has served his country honorably as a combat medic in Vietnam, when we have a government full of war criminals and mass murderers, starting with draft dodgers Bush&Cheney?!!! Surely you jest!

Peggy Noonan is hallucinating, as always

She always perceives the USA as a Norman Rockwell painting, an American version of the Aryan mythology where wholesome looking, pious, patriotic, church going Caucasians, who practice modest, restrained marital sex only when it's time to enlarge the family congregate. In her idiotic and insane imagination, the great heroes are robber barons like Ford, Getty and Hearst. In her hallucinatory mind, dark skinned people are seen only when serving lemonade on a hot mid-western afternoon.

Od course Dean is a realist

and knows that Hillary isn't going to pull out since she is inventing new rules on an almost daily basis. Dean has realized that she will not accept any outcome that isn't her nomination as the Democratic presidential candidate He wants to force her hand through the superdelegates and see what she's going to do once they declare Obama the winner at the beginning of June. We now know damn well that once Obama is declared the winner, she's either going to work very hard to ensure his defeat, probably by failing to endorse and campaign for him, run as an independent, or even run as McCain's V.P.

Let's look at it this way

Since Hillary isn't going to pull out in June, or July, or August, that decision will have to be made for her by the super delegates in June after the last primary. This is Dean's job and mission for the next 6 weeks. After this is done, I see one of two things happening. Either Hillary will put all her energy into ensuring a McCain victory in November so she can run in 2012, or I wouldn't be shocked to see her running on the McCain ticket.

McCain has been the worst torture enabler

McCain once said, referring to terrorists:"This is not about them, this is about us. When we torture, we become just like them". When a former POW, who claims to have been tortured, is totally passive in the face of US legalized torture, and even worse, attempts to defend it, he becomes the worse enabler of torture and of this Bush/Cheney rogue regime.
