Original article: The lying game

Lies and the American people

No people are nearly as easy to lie to as the American people. This is rooted in shocking ignorance and unparalleled naiveté and gullibility. Around the world, people just cannot believe that the US election is still a toss-up and that McCain has a decent chance of becoming the next president. The American people are easier deceived than a two year old. A couple of charlatans like McCain and Palin know it very well and that's why their campaign, just like any Republican candidate preceding them for the last 55 years is facts and truth free. The republican ideology is so warped, cruel and malicious, that if most people were allowed to take even one glimpse at it, the modern day GOP would become a fringe movement like some Montana militia, so the incessant lying and demagoguery goes on.

Just like old times

This is like Leonid Brezhnev going up against a Pravda interviewer. You just know how tough and prodding the questions will be and how tough and unfriendly the interviewer will be to old Leonid.

maureenodonnel

well, you may physically live thousands of miles away, but your mind is wandering around in a twilight zone, alternating between insanity and derangement, millions of light-years away, although still not far enough.

Limbaugh

is a fat asshole who couldn't even graduate from the several community colleges he attended. Just like dead-enders Jossef Geobbels, Heinrich Himmler and Rudolph Hess, he used his stinking racism and ignorance to appeal to millions of soulmate racist dead-end morons, in his case American rednecks, to become successful and wealthy.

Carly Fiorina, another McInsane heavyweight

Carly Fiorina nearly destroyed singlehandedly one of the country's greatest companies. Her conduct while CEO of HP was labeled as psychotic and tyrannical by board members, all lifelong Republicans. The massive world-wide layoffs HP is now experiencing are directly attributed to her disastrous rein as CEO. The children of the two founders of HP have said that her appointment as CEO was the greatest mistake in HP's history. It's fitting and hilarious for this woman to be a senior spokesperson for a candidate who is so clueless about economic issues. Hubris and failure all around.

So many to choose from

It seems like every McCain idea is worse and more absurd than the one preceding it, but I still think that his worst idea to date was picking a moose and wolf hunting redneck religious freak as his running mate because "she can see Russia from one of the islands belonging to Alaska".

Worst electorate in the world

In any sane country, the McCain/Pailin ticket would get at most the vote of a couple of thousand demented people who hear voices and consistently skip their electric shock treatment sessions. In the US, more than a hundred million people will vote for this lunatic ticket and it has a decent chance of propelling two unbalanced and clueless people to the White House. I guess that's the meaning of the inmates taking over the asylum.

If God existed, she'd certainly hate this Republican

Palin is a gimmick, a redneck fundamental nut, an ignoramus and an embarrassment. Let's concentrate on the head of the ticket. Those who know him well regard him as a deceitful, violent, unstable liar who collaborated with the enemy and then postured as a hero. Meet the Real John McShame. Why did Cindy McCain become a drug addict who, Phoenix doctors claim, at least three times sought medical attention for injuries consonant with physical violence? Why did Ron and Nancy Reagan shun him and try to derail his political career?

What is wrong with us?

A nation that generates politicians like McCain, Palin, GWBush, Tom DeLay, Jesse Helms, Tom Tancredo, etc, is a deeply disturbed and disturbing nation and society. Something is terribly wrong with our society when a duo like McCain and Palin has a decent chance to take charge of the nuclear code of the only superpower in the world. The rage I feel is similar to the one I'd feel if a life time pedophile became the principal of my local elementary school. We are a nation that has gone off the deep end.

question of the day

if an alaskan woman is allowed to kill a moose, why isn't a moose allowed to kill an alaskan woman?

Original article: The culture war: It's back!

An electorate of toddlers

Half of the US electorate apply to their vote the same level of intellect a 3 year old applies to choosing a toy in a store. The toys that makes the most noise and have the flashiest colors will get their attention, regardless of their quality. It maybe political suicide for politicians to pint out how dumb Red staters are, but it's the elephant in the china store, or rather the toy store. There's a reason why you keep hearing the words "the American voters are incredibly stupid" when you travel abroad. While most of the world is moving forward, half of the US population is regressing toward the dark ages.

McCain is right

The fundamentals of his own private economy are probably very strong-his wife's 100 million dollar trust fund will not dry out anytime soon, he might even add to his 7 or 8 houses, and the corporations he supports and feeds on, particularly in the weapons manufacturing sector, aren't in any danger of recession. Actually, the wars he intends on starting and continuing will make them even richer.

re:I fear for my children's future

I totally agree. If a profoundly undemocratic individual or party uses the electoral process to ascend to power, they shouldn't be allowed to. That's how the Nazis got to power in 1929. Palin, McCain and most of the GOP are hostile to the US Constitution which is the foundation of our system of government. McCain's views are clearly fascist, and Palin is so extreme that it's nearly impossible to find an equivalent to her particular brand of extremism unless we go back as far as medieval Europe. A military coup, assisted by millions of civilians should prevent fascism from taking over. Our nation has drifted so far toward militaristic and religious fascism, that a civil war is probably the only thing that can save us from becoming the Fourth Reich.
