Busted!

Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.

Does any of this make Joe the Plumber a bad guy? Of course not. But on a night when McCain accused Obama of guilt-by-association, this isn’t going to look good for us. Hello, but on a night when John goes full bore on William Ayers and dodges a bullet by Obama not mentioning Keating Five, the press is going to bring it back front and center by midday tomorrow once they delve deeper into the most popular plumber in America.

Oh yeah, just an average Joe, aka as the hoax

It turns out that Joe The Plumber is a registered Republican who just "happened" to buy a 250,000 business, not a dollar more or less but exactly 250,000, the magic # in Obama's tax plan, very recently, conveniently just before the debate. The McCain campaign is refusing comments on the allegation that the money for this serendipitous new business has been provided by them.

ohiopolitico

is yours the same mindset that claims Palin has foreign affairs experience because she can see Russia from an island off the Alaska coast?

THawk7 is correct

The far northwest corner of Montana, along with the nearby northern neck of Idaho, has for decades been incubating right-wing militias, conspiracy theorists and white supremacists. Many of them have demonstrated an outsize appetite for military hardware and survival gear.

A focus group in the town of Klispell(population 17,000), composed entirely of militia members has overwhelmingly voted for John McCain as the winner of last night presidential debate.

Joe the plumber is confused

He thought that it was possible to wage a trillion dollar war, payed for with money borrowed from the Chinese, but that he would never be asked to pay that money back. Joe no doubt is fond of using that old Right wing cliche :"freedom isn't free". Well Joe, neither are trillion dollar wars.

Lifetime of hubris

Sarah Palin is is a skinhead with lipstick. McCain decided he had no choice but appoint someone so shockingly unqualified because he didn't believe that he could resist the pressure from the most extreme and irrational elements in his party. Steering away from the dead-ender elements in our society would've given him a chance because millions of Americans are still incapable of voting for a black man, but as always, he made the absolute worst decision by appealing to the most dumb and racist dead-ender crowds. This was one hubristic decision in a an uninterrupted string of lifetime terrible decisions. Think of his behavior as a child and adolescent, in the naval academy, which accepted and kept him only because of his pedigree, while flying navy jets, while married, the Keating disaster, etc. and you'll see a person who is so irresponsible, hubristic and combustible, you can count on him to make the wrong decision 9 times out of 10. The navy made sure he would never become an admiral, they knew exactly who they had on their hands. The decision to run a vicious personal slime attack against Obama and continue it even when knowing that it is actually helping Obama and turning off the independents without whom he can't get elected is so typical of McCain-always hubristic and shockingly unqualified for any position of responsibility.

The scor[in and the frog

The McCain campaign reminds me of the old story about the scorpion who wanted to cross the river and asked the frog to carry it on its back. The frog said:if I carry you on my back you'll sting me and I'll die. The scorpion said:I won't, because that would be suicide. So the frog agrees, the scorpion climbs on the frog's back and they begin to cross the river. Midway to the opposing bank, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog cries:why did you it, now we'll both die, and the scorpion says:I know, but it's a matter of principle with me.

The McCain/Palin campaign knows very well by now that each time they use personal slime attacks against Obama/Biden they lose voters, but they just can't help themselves.

CBS poll

Any polls involving CBS were the most favorable to McCain, along with Zogby, and had given Obama the slimmest leads. Having this particular poll give Obama such a monstrous lead is amazing. Remember, even a 4-5 points win would be a landslide win. What's astonishing is that it's very clear that the slime campaign by McCain is driving millions of independents and moderate Republicans to Obama, yet McCain/Pailin keep increasing their slime campaign and the more they do it, the lower they sink in the polls. What they are doing is nothing less that kamikaze campaigning.

Peggy Noonan for cryingoutloud

That mouthpiece of mindless conservatism and lifelong Reagan groupie said the other day that she is "thinking it through" when asked who she was going to vote for on November 4th. Most conservative with a double digit I.Q find it exceedingly difficult to stomach a ticket with a senile, combustible hothead and a medieval Deliverance type animal butchering chick.

John Cleese

In an hilarious interview<,John Cleese called Palin a trained parrot and said that even Monty Python couldn't come up with anything as absurd as the Palin VP nomination. It's not directly related, but I can't resist pasting the poem Cleese has written about another roght wing lunatic, Sean Hannity:

Ode to Sean Hannity

Aping urbanity,

Oozing with vanity,

Plump as a manatee,

Faking humanity,

Intellectual inanity,

Journalistic calamity,

Fox Noise insanity,

You’re a profanity,

Hannity

Bring it on!

and just mention the name Charles Keating, a convicted felon whose fraudulent saving&loan bank dealing caused thousands of retirees to lose their life saving and with whom McCain stayed friends even after Keating's release from jail, accepting his political donations gladly. Obama wants McCain to mention Ayers so he can bring up Keating.

MauMauDo

The Portia of this forum. Some think of her as She Who Must Be Obeyed. The more Right leaning chaps who used to fantasize about getting hot and sweaty with Maggie Thatcher but balk at sex with dementia stricken octogenarian are now lusting after MauMauDo.
