Stop pandering to them

The average southern white male will not vote for a Democratic presidential candidate even if the Democratic party focused all its social agenda to help him improved his economic circumstances. All a republican candidate has to to do his utter the words guns, gays, foreigners and Jesus, and those bozos will vote for a republican and against their own interests. A [ortion of them will start voting for a Democratic candidate only by default, i:e when the economic collapse that is inevitable due to the Bush policies triggers a deep depression in the Bubba states. Even then, many of them will remain stupid and ignorant enough to continue supporting conservatives. Let them remain in their profound state of ignorance and stop pandering to that hopeless block.

Being a white male myself

I don't refer to all white males of course, only to certain white southern males, typically without a college education, blue color, and with racist and xenophobic attitudes. Those who claim that this type of person is a liberal invention are lying, because there are ten of millions of them around, unfortunately. My point is that there's absolutely nothing a Democratic candidate can do to get the support of the average southern white male. All the policy papers, speeches and programs wouldn't convince those people to vote for a Democrat, regardless of how much better their lives would become. All a Republican candidate has to do is bring up the race card, claim the Democrat is trying to take their guns away from them and mention that the Democrat supports gay rights to get their vote, and this isn't going to change.

Vlad the Impaler

Your demagoguery is as worthless and despicable as your glorious leader. If you deny the existence of tens of millions of undereducated white males who religiously listen and watch creeps like Limbaaugh, O'reilly and Hannity and vote based on the brain washing they receive from them. That brain washing intensifies existing racism, anger and resentment. You are as bad as they are and I have no use for right wing morons like you.

Commando 101

The Israelis had in the early 1950's a quasi paramilitary unit named Commando 101 which was unaccountable to the parliament or the regular military authorities. They would commit massacres against Arabs civilians as retaliation for Arab terror or for pure intimidation purposes. Since they were not accountable to anybody, they were out of control and could do anything with impunity. It seems like the Blackwater goons and other mercenaries in Iraq, although motivated by greed, unlike the Israeli unit, are following the same path.

Democracy? What democracy?

In a genuine democracy, authority is questioned all the time, and no one questions and challenges governmental authority more than the press. In the US, the corporate media jumps at every opportunity to conform and is a willing and eager disseminator of government propaganda.

We should be very envious of the Israeli press. Although it's subjected to military censorship, it's a very thorough and aggressive in investigating the government and the military. The latest state commission of inquiry into the aftermath of the disastrous 2006 war in lebanon based a great deal of its investigation on findings by the Israeli media. The Israeli media had a prominent role in dismantling the government's attempts to stonewall and conceal information. As a result, the government nearly collapsed. The defense minister was forced to resign, along and the army chief of staff and a number of generals. An Israeli friend has told me that without the press, the government would have probably gotten away with it. We can only dream of a press like that.

The Democrats should just relax

Anyone who was offended by the MoveOn ad was not going to vote for a Democrat in the 08 presidential elections. It is macabre for MSM types to ask with indignation how dare MoveOn attack a General, while never asking Bush how dare he send 4000 US troops to their death in Iraq.

American death squads

The Blackwater guys are mostly violent hoodlums. I have seen these type of American mercenaries in Latin America and they are nothing but greedy violent hoodlums, nothing lessn than death aquads. It's just so perfect that these violent goons are sent to Iraq, where we are conducting an illegal war, to serve a criminal administration, using criminal methods.

Imperial USA

The state department claims that Blackwater is under contract to the, therefore the Iraqi government can't pull their license and they are continuing to do whatever it is that they do over there. Does anybody still take the notion of a sovereign Iraqi government that was elected democratically seriously? They are not even allowed to kick the American mercenaries out. The Iraqi government is a joke. Iraq is an American colony, although we don't control 95 percent of it, and the Bush mafia has no intention of ever leaving.

Terrorist state

It's so incredibly ironic that in the process of the "war on terror", we have become the major terrorist state/nation in the world. We have 200,000 mercenaries in a country we have occupied illegally. Those murderous mercenaries have been terrorizing the local population. The government we installed in what has become called in the most ironic euphemism of the century "free elections", is overruled by the American emperor when it tries to revoke their license to commit terror.

Is Petraeus the general?

He could have fooled me, because when he testified, he was lying and falsifying so much and so often, that I was certain he was a politician. I'm glad that the blond bimbo has clarified it for us.

There's no such thing as a "good Republican"

and that includes Ron Paul, although his position on the war is spot on. The Democrats are largely spineless and are scared of their own shadow, but in the absence of a third party with a viable chance of winning the presidency, there's no alternative to the Democrats if we wish to regain the democracy we lost under Bush/Cheney. The worst Democrat is infinitesimally better than the "best" Republican.
