"We'll be treated then, I'm sure, to the shrieks of the howler monkeys like shooter, complaining bitterly about it all being ancient history, and besides, Clinton did ... something!"
I was recently down in Costa Rica and saw a howler monkey crap from up in his tree on some unsuspecting tourist. His load resembled shooter's rambling on this blog.
When will the residents of Connecticut finally realize that Joe Lieberman is the senator from Israel, not Connecticut. If he was forced to choose between a nuclear bomb hitting Connecticut and a nuclear bomb hitting Israel, he would let it destroy Connecticut.
You can bet the farm that had Lieberman been president, he would have already launched a massive nuclear attack on Iran. You have to realize that Lieberman is far to the right of the majority of Israelis, who on average, are centrists and moderate. Had Lieberman moved to Israel, he would be on the far right of the Likud party and an avid supporter of the radical settlers, which he is now, while pretending to represent Connecticut in the US senate.
I always felt that the greatest mistake we in "Blue" America have committed was in perceiving the Bush Regime and its various extreme backers and Al Qaeda as separate entities.
Moderate Israelis who would like to find a way to resolve the conflict once and for all are very uncomfortable with Lieberman's unwavering support for the most extreme elements on the Israeli Right. It is ironic and bizarre that a so called "centrist" former Democratic senator from a progressive state has been backing the messianic, radical and often violent Jewish right wing in Israel. I still find it sickening that being aware of this, the voters of Connecticut, a very Blue state, have reelected him.
The Joe Kleins, David Broders and Tim Russert of this world are obsessed with Authority-Worshipping. People capable of thinking for themselves who challenge and question the Regime scare the hell out of them. How dare they challenge the establishment and the Beltway natural order and way of life? The establishment is never wrong and has an inherent right to do as it pleases, even when it's highly illegal and highly unconstitutional. How dare Unserious persons, aka Outside the Beltway persons challenge the Beltway?
Nothing frightens and infuriates Joe Klein more than people who refuse to be "Mainstream" as defined by the Beltway autocracy he belongs to. The questioning Beltway orthodoxy is to him as repulsive as offering a ham sandwich to a chassidic Jew.
No sir, you need to discontinue your career as a so called journalist. You have exhibited such an astonishing degree of conformism and admiration for the beltway Right wing establishment, that you became nothing but one of their many propaganda tools. If you have any conscience left, you will quit your job, such as it is and dedicate the rest of your life and most of your money to help wounded American soldiers. That will prove to us that you are indeed a serious person.
The Nazis had Jews who collaborated with them. Many had no choice, but some did it out of sheer cowardice. Those collaborators would do the SS work for them- pick fellow Jews for transfer to the death camps or point out to the Nazis where Jews were hiding. These two clowns are much worse, because they have collaborated with this criminal administration out of their own free will. It's so pathetic:they are comped by DOD to a trip to Iraq, watch the dog&pony show, hear the official version of how wonderful things are, talk with a few Iraqis, who just happened of course to be available to tell them how much better everything is and now they know what's really going on in Iraq.
Let me get it straight:O'hanlon and Pollak, who have been proven terribly wrong on any aspect of this disastrous war are paraded all over the place by the MSM as "The Iraq Experts" who will clarify to us ignoramuses how great the war is going? What's next-Michael Vick telling us how to treat our dogs?
O'hanlon&Pollak came out with their idiotic and absurd op-ed because in this country, everything is for sale.
Benjamin Franklin once said that Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Anybody who still thinks that at some point this administration and the corporate media that serves it so obediently(including public tv&radio) will start telling the truth about Iraq is a raving lunatic. Any information from administration sources or the MSM about anything going on in Iraq is worthless and should be treated as far less reliable than a used car salesman pitch. Personally, I will treat the Patreuos "report" with more incredulity than a Scientology pitch.
Why, because he actually didn't burn out his players at practice and treated them like adults and individuals, making them think and understand the game instead of molding them into hitting robots?
As far as the defense, his offense was able to play ball control football and hold on to the ball for long stretches using the short passing game, so the defense could almost always count on being off the field long enough not to get too worn out.
Dick Cheney is by far the most felonious, immoral and corrupt politician of our time. He is a soulless, dark person who lacks any kind of humanity. He would and did cause the death of hundred of thousands for his insane greed and paranoia. He is really in the class of Hitler, Stalin and Idi Amin. I have no idea how Larry King could sit next to him and not puke.
