Don't dare stop talking about it

If Craig was a Democrat, the corporate media would've kept this matter alive for months. The Right wing would've blabbered endlessly about "liberal decadence" and "sodomite values incompatible with main street America". Every time this matter is discussed and reported on, more people realize how hypocritical, phony and medieval the Right wing is. It would make some voters who would otherwise vote Republican stay at home and that could determine who the next president is.

About being dumb

Over 50 million US citizens voted for George W. Bush not once but twice. That should tell you that Ms.Upton is not unique in her profound dumbness and ignorance. She pretty much represents the intelligence level of about half of the US population.

Conservative homosexuality

Hitler, the rumors spread by the Pentagon that the surge is a success and not the miserable failure it actually is are about as credible as the rumors that Sen. Craig is heterosexual. It seems like there are two reasons why homosexuality is so prevalent among the conservatives:1.they can't get women to sleep with them voluntarily. 2.they hate women.

Sexual repression and homoswexuality

The most sexually repressed group in Israel are orthodox and chassidic Jews. There are many public parks in Israel where the sight of a Jewish orthodox man sneaking into the bushes with an Arab boy is extremely common. An Israeli psychologist friend has told me that homosexuality is very common among religiously orthodox and ultra-orthodox Jews in Israel. Just like Craig and his conservative fellow travelers, they have do it clandestinely in public bathroom and bushes. The "Christian Values community" in the US is extremely similar in its mentality and indoctrination to fundamental Judaism and it's no wonder that repressed homosexuality is so common at the same time the rhtoric against gays and gay "lifestyle" is so extreme in both.

No need to change the initials

The GOP has no need to change it's initials. It's not the Grand Old Party anymore, but it certainly is the Gay Old Party now.

Goerge W Bush as closet gay man

I have always perceived GWB, as a closeted homosexual. The inability and unwillingness to serve in the military(coward too), the theatrical, grossly exaggerated and pathetic swagger and macho talk, the marriage of convenience to an unattractive, extremely cold and prim woman, it all fits. He's just one of numerous gay bashing, arch-conservatives Republican gays like Craig, Buchanan, Pat Robertson, etc, etc, etc

They are still in charge because the Dems allow them to be

If the Democrats were a real opposition instead of scared mice, they would have cut off all funds for a military adventure that has been completely illegal and completely criminal, as every sane person now knows. The only funds allowed should have been those necessary for a safe withdrawal. This would have basically made this regime a lame duck for the next 16 months, which is just what the nation needs. Don't allow them to initiate and carry out any of their disastrous schemes.

Huge difference

The Democratic party has a long way to go before they endorse without fear equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation, which is a private matter and irrelevant. Unlike the GOP (the Gay Old Party)the Democrats don't base most of their electoral strategy on gay bashing and gay hate mongering. There is a huge difference between not doing enough(Democrats) and fostering fear and hatred against a minority as electoral strategy(GOP).

The GOP is our Al Qaeda

They both have medieval goals and wish to regress their public to a fundamental state . Al Qaeda aspires a Muslim caliphate and the GOP aspires a crusader state based on the most insane and fundamental interpretation of the bible.Inciting and agitating their base through gay bashing and inflaming hatred toward gays, immigrants and women is their main tactic, regardless of the fact that most extreme conservatives are actually homosexual themselves. The jury is till out who is actually more dangerous.

Indeed, what a crock

If only a few republicans are doing the gay bashing and anti-gay propaganda, trying to deny 10 percent of the population equal rights because of sexual orientation, millions of republicans voters have stayed mum, so we have to conclude that they agree with the few leading the pack. We already know that many of the most militant republican gay bashers are closeted gays themselves, almost certainly including the shrub.

Who votes Republican

The ideology of the contemporary GOP is based on hate, anger, fear, greed, religious intolerance and imperial aspirations. They use incitement against minorities:gays, immigrants of color, etc as a tool that radicalizes and energizes their base, just like the Nazis used antisemitism to galvanize their support in the German population. just like the Nazi leadership that was inundated with repressed psychotic homosexuals, the republican right wing is full of repressed angry homosexual men who are also fearful of and hostile to women. Anybody who votes Republican right now is either insane, vile beyond hope or both.

I just can't wait for Newt Gingrich to tell us about traditional marriage

Newt should tell us about serving his cancer striken first wife with divorce papers while she was lying in hospital hooked into a morphine drip. Or maybe he can tell us about having sex in his capitol office with a female aid, while married to his second wife. A Gay person who would rather die than abandon their lover can't marry, but Newt, who treats spouses like a disposable diapers, can marry right after dumping a disposable wife.

re-Federally mandated "blowjob machine" in airports

A great idea for servicing sexually repressed Republicans between flights. And you just know that Halliburton would get the bid.
