Hi Joan,
We the people are to blame. We elected and reelected an empty head, shallow, no intellect, no cohesion vision or philosophy on anything. So we -the people-has set the standard so very low that a beauty queen with no knowledge, depth, intellectual curiosity, very mediocre education, and very limited executive experience can boldly claim she can be president(remember any Joe six pack can be president). She is the perfect product of the past 15-20 years of our TV environment(soap operas, sex and the city, goofy shows, WWE, ESPN, Victoria Secret annual show, etc). Then the shallow media will follow her around for silly Q&A that's very infuriating makes you wonder how on earth did they people got their jobs as TV reports or as they like to claim "journalists". She talked about Iraq & Afghanistan but I can assure you she wouldn’t be able to name the countries that neighbor any of them. It's all about repeating the talking points, smile, wink, look good on camera. My sisters are very successful executives and yet they felt very bad Sarah Palin has tarnish hard working, very highly educated accomplished women with her demagoguery repeated lies. She was allowed to mock a Harvard Law grade who chose public service in the slumps of Chicago instead of working for the best law firms in the world and making over $1mil/year. On a positive note: we -the people- have just elected a man who inspire hope, intellect, civility, decency, calm, and most important cohesion philosophy.
Joan,
It's very disappointing indeed. I feel like here we go again. They got elected and the hill with us. We gave them money, our time, worked our hearts out to get them there and they are like: where else we-the base- are going to go????? First Emanuel, then Holder, Clinton, & God only knows who is next...maybe Sarah Palin for DOE ( she “claimed" knowledge of energy). Of all people for DOS Barack is picking Clinton...the hawkish darling of the newcons....Does anyone here believe if Clinton got the DOS job there will be any "significant, meaningful changes in the foreign policy in the next 4 years) except maybe some window dressing for some marginal issues. But the most disappointing of all was Lieberman. That was really a stab in the back. Barack handcuffed all Dems in the senate when he said he wants him back in. Does anyone here believe Zionist Lieberman will stop his demagoguery about Iraq or his sacred mission to get us in a another war with Iran. Speaking of Iran: Clinton singed on the authorization that was sponsored by Zionist LIEberman to gave Bush a green light to go to war with Iran.
I am wondering what change did I Donate ,work , and voted for.
To Thadeus Crumb:
Why are you taking your heat on HRC?
She was done, finished. Barack brought her back from the dead. And why on God name did he do that?Did he cut a deal with her after the primaries when they met @ D. Finestein house in DC? It's Barack fault, no question. And it's his fault too regarding Zionist Lieberman. Both could have gone into the wilderness for good, but Barack somehow knows best.
Time will till.If 2 years from today we all are wondering how Zionist Lieberman is launching investigations against Barack , and we are on the brink of war with Iran...then we will know that Barack is reaping what he sow.
Glenn,
Fist of all , pls. let me salute you for your courage and principals for speaking the truth exposing "the democratic leadership" in it's appalling, shameful, and blind support of the Israelis genocide against defenseless Palestinians who are LIGETMELLY resisting occupation, a partied of the worst kind, and struggling to gain their stolen land and freedom from a fascist Zionist state.
But I would like to comment on the roots of why we Arabs and Muslims are so despised and hated in the west in general and in the states in particular.
This deep animosity is rooted (wrongly) in the fundamental believe that Arabs and Muslims are backward, odd looking, irrational, have no respect for human or women rights. Their religion-Islam- preach violence, intolerance, submission. This has been the curriculum in the west regarding us for over 200 years ( well before 9/11) when the English, French, Italians came down and invaded and colonized our countries. Why, because we are weak. But we-Arab and Muslims- are to blame. We allowed that to happened. I will be the first to admit we-the Muslim people- are lagging behind in almost everything, but it's not because of our great religion ISALM , it's us -the people- fault for we accepted and tolerated for so many years some of the most despicable, vile, corrupt, stupid, arrogant regimes to rule us. We are to blame, it’s our fault. And we deserve to be where we are now because we had not been willing –so far- to pay the price to gain our freedom ( at home), to chose our rulers and our governing institutions. And until we rise up as people and rid our nations from these cancerous regimes, we will remain in the back seat for the world to laugh at us. With all the trillions of dollars that had been pouring in our coffers for the past 30-40 years we are at the very bottom on every scale of modernization. We live in a state of perpetual fear in our own countries. These regimes( Assad, Mubarak, Saudis, Khadafy, et el)are suffocating. We can sit here and wail about the Jewish influence on the west against us. No body like to listen to losers, whiners, and quite frankly, the world has grown so tired of us crying babies for the past 60 years. So until we rise up and free ourselves, we deserve what we get.
