Original article: Obama surfs through

Where have you been before, Ms. Paglia?

Right after the Election, you’ve realized that “we know relatively little about Barack Obama.” Why were you not interested in finding out more information? Millions and millions of voters were not interested, either. I have been trying to identify this phenomenon as briefly as possible. Finally, I found the right word in your article: mesmerized. I think that a big number of the people, who voted for Obama, were mesmerized by his personality and by the way he talked to the crowds. What he was saying became irrelevant. Apparently, his magnetic personality attracted quite a few people the same way a boa constrictor hypnotizes a rabbit.

Even now, you have ignored a few very important details. For example, Obama’s twenty-year affiliation with America hater Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Do you think that a person could be under such influence for twenty years without absorbing at least some of his views? How about the fact, that Louise Farrakhan called Obama the “Messiah?”

I could go on and on. It is not the point. I just want to remind to you about a typical outcome of the encounter between a boa constrictor and a rabbit. I hope I am wrong in this case

Original article: The born conspiracy

THREE QUESTIONS

1. Was anybody who read this article born in Hawaii around 1961?

2. Did his/her Certificate of Live Birth include the name of the hospital and the name and the sgnature of the doctor?

3. Did it take this person less than three months to find this Certificate?

CASE OF AMNESIA

Joan Walsh’s statement that “Obama’s handling the Blago mess just fine” prompted me to make some comments. I think that President-elect and his advisors are suffering from the mass case of amnesia. First, Barack Obama was quick to deny that he met with Blagojevich to discuss his replacement. I went to the official website of Illinois’ Governor and found the following information:

Show Stand Alone Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 5, 2008

Governor Blagojevich Congratulates President-elect Obama and Discusses U.S. Senate Seat

To fill President-Elect Barack Obama’s Senate seat, Governor will use deliberate process to select suitable replacement

CHICAGO – After congratulating President-Elect Barack Obama on his decisive victory, Governor Rod R. Blagojevich announced today that he will take his time and use a diverse senior staff made up of key members of his administration who will assist him in selecting a suitable replacement for Obama.

Based on this Press release, one would make a conclusion that the meeting did take place.

To me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with such a meeting. Why would Mr. Obama deny that this meeting took place? I have no other explanation than a sudden case of amnesia.

His senior advisor David Axelrod first publicly admitted on November 23, 2008 that his boss did talk to Blagojevich. Then a few days (not months or years!) later he said that he misspoke. I think it is another remarkable case of amnesia. I cannot wait to hear or see who else is going to join this group.

As soon as I finish my pickles and empty the jar, I'll put there your prediction. On a more serious note, I think you've missed my point. It was not about being "super-careful."

It was about giving a cotradictory information within several days.I don't think it gives credibility to whatever they say.

About "bad" news

I think Alex Koppelman got caught up in his own web of irony and humor.

If someone without a sense of humor reads the first paragraph, he or she might conclude that a certain “segment of the population” wanted the Sharia law to take effect on January 21, 2009, but it is not going to happen because Barack Obama will take the oath of office on the Bible.

On the other hand, a person with a fully developed sense of humor would figure out right away that Mr. Koppelman meant GOOD news for that segment of the population.

Both readers would be wrong. Mr. Koppelman couldn’t care less about bringing good news to this group of people. I think what Alex Koppelman is trying to say is the following: you right wing extremists who did not vote for Obama, do you see now how wrong you were? Obama is not a hidden Muslim. He is going to use a Bible while taking an oath! If this is sufficient enough for the people, it’s OK.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, can Alex Koppelman explain to me why both parties involved in a law suit, while in the court room, swear on the Bible to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, but only 50% do it?

Original article: Bristol Palin has a boy

You should be ashamed of yourselves

Both author of this article and most of the people who wrote the letters, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You have no right to be judgemental. Isn't it enough for you to say all those nasty things about Sara? It is none of your business how she named her children. It is none of your business whether her daughter is married or not. And at least leave the children alone!

Kim 1977

Let me remind you that the war (election season) is over.

You did not like Sarah Palin, and you did not vote for her.

It's OK. You can have as many abortions as you want. This article was not about you. As I said before, leave the kids alone. Don't spread your hatred over the next two generations.
