This is why to vote for Obama.

What issue could be more important than some kind of investigation? It is not like it will be hard. Play the recent ABC interview, Bush says "Yes I sanctioned those meetings, I ordered them to happen, and signed off on their results." There results were torture. It was a crime. They had it much harder at Nuremberg.

What about what the Iraqi's think?

They regard us as occupiers. They want us out. The Awakening guys have sworn to take down the "Iranians" or Maliki in our language. The Sadrists hate the occupation and want us out. The Kurds, well, the Kurds do like us but at this point they are self sufficient and don't need us.

The only Iraqi who wants us there is Maliki. We back Maliki because he keeps signing agreements for us to stay. Maliki tried to weaken Sadr (who wants us to leave, NOW). Maliki's forces deserted, and failed. Maliki had to infuse 10k Badr brigade guys to fight in the recent Basra mission. Even they couldn't handle Sadr's boys. Then we used air strikes to turn the tide for Maliki.

I just can't believe the stunning hypocrisy that Patreus and Crocker throw out when they describe how foreign fighters are destabilizing Iraq. WTF are our guys doing?

Best plan by far is set a timetable, stick to it, and get ready for the test of arms that follows our departure. As soon as we leave, every militia in Iraq will turn on each other. This happens if we leave in 2 years, or leave in 20. All those militias will fight, and the winner will seize Baghdad. This will almost certainly be Sadr, and he will establish a Shiite Iraqi Nationalist government backed up by his Mhadi Army.

This is a good strategy shift.

This should have been done earlier. Now is a better time to start attacking McCain than never. Someone needs to mention the "Fire on the Forrestal". McCain got 150 killed aboard his carrier when he left is plane running hot. A stray rocket misfired and hit his plane, but the rocket didn't explode. If dislodged a fuel tank and the fuel tank sparked. If McCain hadn't left his plane running ...

Once again Obama campaign shows good strategic sense.

This is a good move for the Obama campaign. Hillary will not stop trying, even when beaten. She will never concede, so just ignore her. Obama aims at the general instead and lets Hillary run her mouth against the wind.

I think you are missing the election year context.

Recently Hamas said something like "Obama would be the best candidate to change America, we hope he wins." Then McCain goes out and postures about how Hamas hates him, but loves Obama. I think this actually makes McCain even more of a joke, because he clearly only said "I will be Hamas's worst nightmare" because they recently approved of Obama. This isn't even a seriously held belief, he is just saying it to please the warmongers and his race fear filled constituency.

Wright says what he says to induce change in government.

Wright never said this country is beyond redemption. And I don't get what is so extreme about what he says. Have you read an internet chat board before? Have you read THIS chat board? That is some pretty extreme stuff. Wright believes this country can achieve greatness, but he isn't afraid to rail against its sins. Sorry if you are that uncomfortable about your patriotism that you can't honestly critique your own country.

Can the "objectivity" Alex.

This is straight out poll taxing to depress Democratic voting blocks and everyone knows it. The Dissenting appeals court judge called it like it is. We are back at Plessy v Ferguson level deceit from the court. That the court can seriously keep blinders on to this degree bodes poorly for this country's future. STEVENS is usually good at looking at the obvious facts. Where was he on this one?

Monday, April 28, 2008 04:53 PM

STEVENS is usually my favorite justice.

I can see how he might have made a political move to keep this issue open. If he went with the liberal wing, the 5 right wingers could have overturned the poll tax precedent. Sometimes it is hard to trust STEVENS, but I know he is always right.

I want to know who appointed the judge.

Federalist society members continue to survive following their ritual suicide be devouring polar bear hearts so I assume this was a Bush appointee who is concerned about fellow Bush appointees dying for lack of bear hearts.

Original article: Why Obama denounced Wright

There we go, this is what I was expecting from Obama.

Obama is the most gifted politician in the field right now. It is about time he capitalize on this moment and use Wright's new publicity to break with him on something concrete. This restores my faith in Obama's political skill.

Didn't Bill Clinton and Chavez fight over this in the 90s?

I was under the impression that Bill Clinton had a deal worked out with Chavez that if oil got above 30, then Bill would pump from the SPR. If oil got below 20, Chavez would cut supply. This is from Greg Palast's armed madhouse. That Bush isn't using the SPR to play the markets is taxing the American people to benefit his oil buddies.

Remember that the North Carolina win doesn't count.

Obama's win is full of black people, which go to churches that are out of touch with mainstream America. And John Edwards is an asshat for failing to endorse a candidate before the vote in his own state. What a tool.

But the Michigan win by Hillary Does count.

Michigan is filled with real heartland supporting, white church going, George Bush Voting, War loving patriots who support obliterating Iran.

I think the Democrats would prosper by running on abortion.

It would get Hillary's older white female base back into the party. And it would gut McCain's moderate image. The anti abortion crew is becoming more and more of a fringe radical group. Portraying them as terrorists would put McCain in a lot of trouble.

Original article: A split Democratic decision

Clinton = not divisive by saying "hard working white americans"

How is Clinton campaigning without using divisive tactics when but a week ago she said that she representing "hard working white Americans." Everyone damn well know that was dog whistle for don't for Obama because he will give your money to lazy blacks. Even NIXON didn't say "white Americans." But you give Hillary a pass after just one week?
