Yeah, it say about me that I care about correct spellings. Arguments are more convincing if you spell what you're critiquing correctly

Silly me - and here I was concentrating on content when its really the spelling that matters.

Welcome to the web, where time constraints, lack of an edit facility or spell checker often result in typos, misspellings and mangled grammer. Most people get past that and concentrate on the content and avoid the ad hominem attacks.

So how about non english speakers, who often have appaling grammer and spelling - are their arguments worth less to you ?

And I disagree that refering to "wannabe femminists" is dissing femminists, unless you think all femminists are wannabe femminists. Specifically I was dissing people who employ crappy crowd pleasing surveys as a way to claim femminist credentials and for stifling argument.

Even if it is just a press release, it does make it quite clear this is not the female version of viagra.

We have a similar arrangement at our office - a mother works part time and brings her child in with her two days a week. The kid is laid back and bothers no one (BTW, I'm male and childless).

But we're a small business and flexible that way. I get benefits too - flexible hours, work from home etc. I've worked at larger firms where this would not be a option.

Still like cary's answer but people are right re getting a dog - no way should the LW do that, they obviously lack the empathy to care for something as needy as a dog. And getting a dog just to scare off cats is a *BAD* idea

Giant Pit Bull will bite the face off one of his children. LW will blame Cary and sue Salon.
