  • Inequality is addressed as inequality not as racism

[Read the article: Good times for liberals]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If you want to address racism that's one thing but inequality should be addressed as such and not as racism. You can't legislate racism all you can do is punish the effects of it that you happen to notice.

BTW why is it in South America where countries did away with overt slavery before the US did, does economic disparity exist to an even greater degree than it does here AND the ethnic differences between the haves and have nots are even less?

  • Apart from my tobacco sharecropper neighbors

[Read the article: Class war and the Farm Bill]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

There really aren't ANY family farms of any significance any more. It's a fake issue at worst. At best it's important to a tiny tiny slice of the populace.

  • Yeah I remember all those other GOPs

[Read the article: They don't call them "unscientific" surveys for nothing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Who told me the problem with government is the government and that if we elected them they'd make priority #1 the reduction in size of the government. Problem is there haven't been and GOP presidents since Ike who did that in fact they all to a man made the problem much much worse.

But I'm sure William Jennings RonPaul is different.

  • I'd prefer a 100GB affordable SSD

[Read the article: Hitachi hatches a humongous hard drive]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Better than a box of 1TB drives I'd prefer an affordable 100GB SSD or some kind of high speed flash that approaches the speed of an SSD with a new bus speed interface. The time has come to eliminate the disk IO bottleneck. If I need 4TB I'll lash it to an external bus adapter or put it on a GB network wire.

  • As opposed to say

[Read the article: Genocide: An inconvenient truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The 30-35 million killed under Stalin's boot in the 1930's? Or perhaps the nearly 100 million ground up by Mao from 1956-69? Of course it's harder to pin down our neat definitions of genocide when it's plain old politically inspired mass murder. But it's more or less the same thing.

BTW genocidal ethnic liquidations are seeing a new Renaissance in the world. What's old is new again and this is the new face of war. Rwanda, Congo, Sudan, Western Sahara, Uganda are but a taste of things to come.

  • Except that addressing class warfare with class warfare is hardly a cure

[Read the article: Fred Thompson defines class politics]

I don't suppose simply taking from those who have a little more than some others actually works. Well it sort of works in the long run but eventually it fails. Just ask the Ukranian Kulaks or the white farmers of Zimbabwe (or anyone in Zimbabwe for that matter). The problem with radically 'redistributing' wealth and that the people who have it tend to object violently. You see - you can't really have Marx without Bakunin and Bakunin advocated killing whomever it took to effectuate Marx's goals.

  • Nancy

Actually they wore spiffy Hugo Boss uniforms. They even had a catalog.

  • Not in Raleigh NC

You need the horn to remind the moron in front of you to put down the crackpipe and/or 40 and stuff their cloven hoof on the gas pedal of that stolen minivan. Because with 8 minute red lights there's no telling when you'll get another shot at crossing the intersection.

  • Only one post about Aspergers

[Read the article: Why are Bluetooth headsets so lame?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Well that's an improvement. Next thing you know you twits will begin to realize that no one on the planet gives a shit about the rage you experience after inserting yourselves in something that doesn't concern you.

  • Never drive behind a Buick

Especially a white one. Because Oldy McAlzheimer is driving 35mph under the speed limit in all three lanes at the same time. And if there was a button I could push, send her rumpled old ass to the Great Hereafter in a blaze of IED, I would.

  • Gee I don't know about you

But I USE my phone for something else besides talking WHILE I'm talking. That's kind of the point of having a high end PDA-Phone like an iPhone, HTC Mogul, Nokia N95 or similar device. I kind of laugh at you losers who have nothing better to do

  • Here's a tip

[Read the article: Housing starts: How low can they go?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Lower.The.Price.

You can't do that? Oh it sucks to be you then. I laugh at your failure.

  • Your headline is oh so Zen

Because clearly there is nothing that can stop the haters who lay awake at night thinking of yet more things to be outraged and indignant about which will cause them to stop. You see their anger belies a hidden arrogance, a supreme belief in their own supremacy. How dare those little people offend me and my delicate sensibilities. They must either be corrected or destroyed. Their wishes let alone their choices mean nothing to me. I alone declare what is acceptable and what is not. And the only thing worse than a BT earbud is taking your phone out and talking on it at all. You insect, you peon. We will tie you to poles and shoot you in the name of freedom and dignity.

  • Downtown Raleigh NC

Has a boom in the $300K range of condos right now. And for us, that's pretty expensive. I guess it depends on where you live. Of course this isn't Boston, NY or San Fran so according to Salon we probably don't own shoes and each of us runs a still and wants to own slaves too. You know how us hillbillies is.

  • Tell you what

[Read the article: Why are Bluetooth headsets so lame?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'll keep it on speaker phone so I can write at the same time. There - ya happy now? Now why don't you go toddle on and scream at people who park with one tire on the white line or maybe the people who take an extra paper coffee cup as an insulator. And hey why don't you slap women who put on their makeup in public too?

  • Down here in the south

People seem unbothered at the distinction between "RED" and "GREEN". Maybe they're all colorblind. But when the light turns from RED to GREEN that's your cue to GO. Be it left right or straight ahead, go. Go SOMEWHERE. Dig in your pocketbook, smoke weed, slap your kids, zone out, talk to the people in the car next to you, some other fucking place. Unless you're doing a drive by, your ass needs to go. Thanks. And if you don't like my horn then I guess I'll stick my head out the window and scream at your dumb ass in person. There, ya feel vindicated now? Good.
