Original article: Sarah Palin's choice

Kill the little b*****d

You're so right. Who cares if it's a human being? Just kill the little b*****d and be done with it. It's so much more convenient that way.

Original article: Sarah Palin's choice

the moral dilemna

Sarah had only one choice. Because her position is a moral conviction not a political position there was only one choice that she could make. To make a different choice would be to violate her own conscience.

And because she believes that there is such a thing as absolutes she doesn't feel free to redefine right and wrong for convenience as is so often the case these days.

This distinction between absolute values and evolving values is the real argument underlying the whole abortion debate.

People whose values shift with the times don't understand people whose values remain the same regardless of expediency.

Choice is not a value just as change is not a destination.

Our choices reveal our values just as our actions define what is meant by change.

Original article: Sarah Palin's choice

@AnnieW

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. I very much support the idea of helping unwed teen mothers keep their babies. I (and I assume, Palin) just don't happen to believe that government is the correct avenue for doing this.

With or without help, absolute values call for absolute choices.

Original article: Mean girl

Did you really write this?

Thanks for quoting only Palin adversaries or people in prison. It makes the article seem so fair and balanced. You cite a lot of allegations from her political enemies or people she defeated, but never seek to verify or quantify any of the things said.

I suppose we are to take the word of a convict or a disgruntled defeated candidate as gospel. You couldn't find one source to give the other side?

I hope this is not what passes for journalistic integrity at Salon.

Original article: Where is the outrage?

Stick to Lake Woebegone

Mr. Keilor should stick to Lake Woebegone and the Prairie Home companion (which I enjoy) instead of trying to blame Mr. McCain. He mentions the Keating 5, yet Mr. McCain was exonerated of everything accept possibly using poor judgement in his associations. Don't forget the other four of the five were Democrats who ended in Jail.

Don't be a partison hack - it isn't becoming.

Is this what passes for journalism these days

Let me get this straight. You interview two guys and somehow this is evidence of "Palin's right-wing pals"? Grow up won't you? this is pathetic stuff here.

Pure Trash

This article and the one before it are pure trash poorly disguised as journalism. It is full of exactly the type of stereotyping, inuendo and guilt by association that Salon likes to hilight when it attacks their liberal friends. I especially find offensive the insinuation (Thanks EX Pres Carter) that opposition to Obama is racist.

this article doesn't belong in any publication that wants to be considered as a serious.

I guess this is the best I can expect Salon

I was looking for funny and got sick and twisted. I found the whole thing offensive. Like Palin or not, at least she doesn't stoop to this kind of rot. Imagine if a conservative wrote this kind of trash about Michelle Obama, or Hillary, which, of course they wouldn't. I may need to cancel my e-mail subscription.
